Realvision\ENBseries Update Message
After updating realvision and enbseries I have a message on the top of my window 'c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\effect.txt(1,1,) error X3000: unrecognized identifer this' This message just stays on screen and won't go away. It's a little unimmersive how do I fix this problem?

I had the same problem. The solution is quite simple, really. The unrecognized identifier "THIS" refers to the first word in the sentence at the top of the effect.txt file, which reads:

"THIS IS HLSL FILE FORMAT FOR EXECUTING ADDITIONAL
POST PROCESSING EFFECTS. MAKE THE COPY BEFORE CHANGING IT!
*/"

You can test it out by changing that word, for example to THAT. If you go into Skyrim again, you'll notice the message will have changed to saying unrecognized identifier "THAT".

The sentence is not important to the file, it's just a warning for users, so you can safely delete it (including the */ at the end). Once you do that, the error message will be gone.

Do heed the warning, though. Make a backup copy of the file first, just in case.
