Graphic Mods
So ive figured im gonna go with some graphic mods since my pc should be handle to handle at least 1 or 2 and i was looking in the Workshop and saw literally TONS with good rating. So my question or task to all of you is. Plz write me real quick what graphic mods ure using and im gonna look at the ones that seem to combine good or get mentioned most. You would really do me a huge favor because if i need to decide, i end up with thousands at once :D. Thx a lot!

Edit: plz only mods from the workshop cause i dont have a nexus acc or whatever other side there is out there.

Depending on your GPU, Nebula's SkyrimHD texture pack is fantastic and there's a "lite" version that isn't too resource-hungry. Couple that with SMIM, Climates of Tamriel and either W.A.T.E.R or Pure Waters.

You may also want to check out an ENB preset - the RealVisionENB page on Nexus also lists a fantastic mod build that you can add to or partially use. It's a great list with good, detailed instructions on getting everything running smooth.

im running a gtx 760 , think my cpu (fx 6100) will limit it more.

I dont really like nexus , they seem to have a ton of mods (not only for skyrim) but i dont wanna pay a monthly amount to get them.

Essentials

Climates of Tamriel
Pure Waters
Skyrim HD (not sure if its on workshop, it's on nexus though, google it).
Wet and Cold
Static Mesh Improvement Mod 1 - 5

Nice optionals

Better Dynamic Snow
Dense Vegetation
Enhanced Distant Terrain
Immersive Saturation Boost (or Immersive Contrast Boost)
HD Plants + Herbs
Splash of Rain
HQ Workbench and Grindstone
Enhanced Blood Textures - This is an immersion mod too, as it makes things a lot bloodier.
Towns and Villages Enhanced - (all of them, seperate mod for each town etc).

There are many more, depends on your taste for a lot of them. Go to workshop and take a look at the top rated all time, clicking the "graphics" check box to list the graphical mods. Bigger more intensive mods will be found on Nexus, which is free by the way. I use Nexus and their mod manager (which is excellent) and I've never paid a penny, never heard anything about that.

Use www.nexusmods.com instead of Steam Workshop for graphics mods. The Steam launcher can be very finicky and you'll have problems with stability.

you don't have to pay for Nexus, the mod manager makes installing (and uninstalling) a breeze. You should be able to run somewhere around 200 or so mods with that setup...
I use Climates of Tamriel which is nice aside from the fact nightime is pitch black even on a moonlit starlit night but it is still pretty good, Immersive saturation boost is nice it enhances the colors making them deeper and more vibrant,

Is that a bug, I've never experienced that (well.. only outside of Riften, but from a different mod). Do you use the extras with it that make the night darker because those things are configurable, I leave the night lighting as default, but there are (I think) 8 steps of night lighting options, the latter being pretty damn pitch black at night.

i haven't used anything else with it or changed anything but i hear a lot of people who say the same thing with it on their game and have recommended the modder try to change it, I don't know if there is any way to change it in the ini. settings either truth be told i just wanted better rain and storms nothing like being in a isolated area with a follower at night and hearing the thunder and not knowing if anyone or anything is out there it adds to the spookiness especially if your near a Nordic ruin like bleak fall burrow!

I meant that Climates of Tamriel has a configurable night time darkness (8 different selections), I have it set to default and it's just like vanilla, it's in the initial configuration when you install the mod, or atleast you should get this pop up. I'd reinstall it if not.

You have the full version or lite version? I guess if you like it, it's all good anyway!

So i went to nexus, downloaded the 2k textures+installed them with NMM (even if i only see water has changed) and my fps got a pretty hard hit, now i sometimes reach 40. fps. Seems that is the max what my pc can handle. But thx for the other suggestions :)

Try this in conjunction with 2K Textures. It has helped me, and others out with FPS issues.

Have you tried the "Lite" 2K versions? I can't tell the difference from regular myself and still much better than official HD packs

Not noticed any diffrence? Windhelm? That places always stands out as the most obvious myself especially the houses. If theres still no diffirence theres something wrong somewhere

you dont have to pay a cent for mods. Selling content made in the tools bethesda gave would have bethesda knocking on their doors.
