New to Mods...

Yo I was wondering what are the best mods to grab for the game that can all work together. I'm looking for better detail towards characters, detail to the world, new followers, quests, homes, and armor/clothing. So if anyone could help me out that woud be sweet.

since you are new to modding, let me recommend a few tools that may save your game from breaking due to mods:
1) BOSS http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/?
tool that puts your mod plugins into the correct load order, and reports broken mods.
2) TES5edit http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6/?
a more complex tool, cleans your plugins which greatly reduces chances on crashes
