Agreed. There's a mod that makes M'aiq a follower. Tempted to try it. When Farkas has a mod installed that makes him what he's supposed to be, he's actually a fabulous tank. In Vanilla, however, he has the most messed up skills. Cicero makes me nuts.

I liked Serana actually. Made a pretty solid follower, had some really nice bonding moments. If you bond with her she will even cure herself for you which is pretty cool. The raising minion thing is slightly annoying but I'm sure that could be modded out. But really there are so many characters and most are rather bland and forgettable.
Parthurnax was pretty cool but it begs the question what his motives are.
