In order for a game to crash, like yours, due to a player mod, the mod itself that cause the crash don't need to be about the place where you crash at all, but more about using of colliding items/wrong edits.
You might disable all your player mods, start a new game, and then see it will work perfectly :)

You might also download BOSS, and run this every time you add or emove a mod.
The program try to give the optimal loadorder, and to advice when mods might create error.

Start with this. It'll tell you whether it's a mod problem or not - and it really, really sounds like a mod problem.

Worst case scenario: it's a mod problem that's now stuck to your save. No big deal, unless you're really attached to the save.

Best case scenario: it's a minor problem from a mod you don't care about. Remove the mod and keep playing ^^

other advice: though it's probably not the cause, it doesn't hurt to verify the game cache/files.
