White Stag Armor
Hello, Folks! I was just experimenting with, "Help 'Test'", to see how many test NPCs are in the list, when I found an armor named, "White Stag". I was curious about it, so I then used, "Player.AddItem" to get it, and it said I had it. But when I looked in the inventory menu, it wasn't to be found. So, I searched for it in the Workshop, but the two results I got, didn't make any sense. So now I'm here to ask if any of you know about this armor and have been able to successfully use it. So, do any of you know of it and have used it? What does it look like? While I'm at it, why didn't the mod that makes all apparrel playable not work for this item?

I believe that this is for the Daedric quest "ill met <something> Moonlight". The White Stag that you are suppose to hunt in the beginning of the quest should be wearing this armour. As this armour is strictly for the use of a quest, it will never be playable, thus sitting in your inventory as dead weight. If you are wondering why the mod did not make this playable is that you were not suppose to get it and it could lead to bugs occuring if you put it on. Be careful of what you do with the console, it could lead to severe bugs as well as undesireable side effects. If you really want to wear it, use this command: player.equipitem <item id>

Word of warning though: since this was never meant to be worn by humanoid characters (unlike other hidden apparels like the greybeard robes or nocturnal's robes), it could lead to bugs occuring.

Hi, gggg336! Thanks again for beign first again! :-) Oh, I know about bugs from "Oblivion", that happened from cheating. I've had plenty of practice with trying to undo mistakes. But anyway, it doesn't show in my inventory at all. Is that what you mean by, "dead weight"? Hmm. I'm going to experiment with that Console Command! Thanks for sharing it! Oh, wait! It is only meant to be worn by a non-humanoid animal?! Hmm. So, now I'm even more curious as to what woudl happen should I try that out. :-)

Hello, gggg336 & Folks! Ahem. Well, I did it! I used the quip command, and I saw that it wasn't "sprinting", but that it had been equipped. But no, it wasn't in my inventory, let alone visible on my PC. I went to a crafting table to temper it, and it wasn't in that menu. Nor was it in the menus for Disenchanting and Enchanting. So, I used the unequip command and then the remove item command. So I suppose then that I shall have to do that quest to see what it is meant to look like. So, thanks! I hope it doesn't take long. Hmm. I could just have the beast placed at me, I suppose, if I'm in that much of a hurry to see the armor. :-)

Hi, di eshor ribly! Oh, really? So it is more of a screen effect, visually? Hmm. Okay, thanks for the data. :-)

If an armor is marked as non-equipable by the player then they player can't have it in their inventory, no matter how hard you bang on the console.

Hi, Brandybuck! Not having seen it before, I wouldn't know that aspect about it. The other outfits, that the mod allows, are marked by an asterick. Since this armor never appeared in my inventory, there was no way to see if it had an asterick or not. Also, in "Oblivion", outfits like, "Child's Overalls", weren't meant to be played either. But there was a mod that let you equip it, albeit the mod didn't seem to work right away. Like there was a bit where you had to save, quit, and reload, to activate some items. Alas, the mod for "Skyrim" though, doesn't seem to work that way. In "Oblivion", there would be items that would turn to dust if you tried to touch them. But if you had them in your inventory first, they would stay if you could enchant them first. So far, no such enounters with "Skyrim" items like that. Oh, and no, I don't have a Construction Kit, so I couldn't use that to see what you mean about it either. :-)

You need Creation Kit in order to check the player equipable flag. No way to do it from the console. An example is Sheogorath's outfit (if I recall). You can add it via the console, but you'll never see it in your inventory. You can get your follower to equip it however, so go figure.

Hi, Brandybuck! Oh yeah, that's right, this time is called the "Creation Kit". I could never get the "Contstruction Kit" to work for me, so I never figured out how to use it. This time, I don't even have a "Creation Kit" to mess with. Hmm. I know what you mean though about the irony of that, cocnering outfits that one can't use, but a follower can. However, I think the mod I have allows it to be used by my PC. Though I'd only have it more for mannequin decor anyway.
