The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Wheres the best place to raise a family in the game?
While its an interesting subject, a google search lead me to gamerfaq - http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/615803-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/64175217 and ended up saying that Solitude is better overall.

Im currently Falkreath near the lake and built a nice house, and while the chat with the wifey says that their ok,

im a little worried that they could be attacked by vamps that are running around and random NPCs.

Overall, what do you think is easier?

Hi RomireOnline.
I prefer the house in Falkreath because of the really nice sourroundings.
But Seabreeze Estate (mod) is also a great place to live.
Till know, my wives didnt got attacked.
But if you are worried about getting attacked by vampires, you may try When Vampires Attack mod.
I hope this helpful.

Vampires? lol wait until you get out of your house to find a giant killing your cow(if you're lucky).
i had a dragon attack me, dozens of bandits, and a giant beating on the wall of my house in Falkreath.......the bandits even came inside the house and chased me around.
your wife won't leave the house so she is safe. children go outside but are essential and cannot be killed
Yeah, the Falkreath manor does get attacked a lot.

Wife does leave a house, if it was a self build hearthfire house. They wander and work outside, like steward and housecarl.

They don't leave from city homes. That's kind of a shame, really. Somehow the whole thing get's dull, when your spouse just sits inside instead of being "alive" member of the community.

Strange. I wonder if there are some limitation in different AI packs.

My only hearthfire spouse so far have been Sylgja. Se wanderd around the house and the yard, occasionally working with tanning rack, or using the anvil. Sometimes she was sitting at the balcony above our bedroon.

I have Taalia and in Solitude when she is still unmarried, she goes outside as well. So she should be able to get outside of other homes too (i think)
