insane frame rates

Hi guys I cant play this game because it draws 100s of frames a second rotating them so it just looks a mess.
Any ideas?
running Z97 i7 4790 780Ti Sli 16G Memory

My suggestion is install mad amounts of mods. It will lower your frame rate and make the game look more beautiful than you could possibly imagine.

V-sync, game requires it anyway. There quite some time related bugs that crop up when v-sync is off.

Frame limit to 60fps. You may actually bork your GPU/CPU with runaway fps... Your system is laughing at Skyrim's requirements.

thanks will give it try - How hard is it to install the Mods??? Def up for it, I have joined nexus but havent invested any time as the game didnt work :)

Give me a moment and I will provide you with a video tutorial. This particular tutorial will lead you to an extraordinarly powerful graphic set up with the Realvision Enb. You have the system specs to run it. From there you can adjust the game however you like and by the end of it, you will know how to use mods.

S.T.E.P. is a good starting guide. The amount of mods for this game is insane.

Had this problem when i first bought the game aswell. What i did to get it working properly:

Download nvidia inspector (then look up skyrim in nvidia inspector)
Turn on vsync and limit the fps to 60
Press apply changes and everything should be fine! :)

Here is the step by step tutorial. Links to the Nexus are in the description. This is a VERY specific tutorial. It will litterally step by step you through the entire thing. You can ignore tha part about uninstalling and reinstalling your skyrim since you have not done any previous modding. As for testing each mod after you install, that is your call. I did not do that part and it all worked just fine for me.

thanks for your suggestions, I have turned on V sync in my Nvedia CP as there is no option in game??
It stopped the mad frames but now the horse gets stretched and the game just stays with us stuck in the cart?? FFS

Validate files? Library (Steam Client icon bottom right, Sys Tray) >>Games>>Skyrim (right-click) >>Properties>>Local Files>>Validate
One file should fail to validate, no problems that file is regenerated on launch.

Hi Mage, only asked my question for the cart bit because I know Helgen Reborn is set up for Alternate Start, not for normal game start and causes this problem. Has to be loaded after escaping Helgen.
