I love swimming in the ocean.
But horkers and slaughterfish aren't really hard to avoid.. I wish we had a sea dragon like Leviathan. He could be a random encounter in the entire ocean, where you need to rush to shore just to stand a change to fight him

Personally I'd like to see fewer themepark style encounters are more actual RPG content.

But that would require doing more than placing an npc and deciding if it's hostile or not.

Less stuff just to have stuff. Fewer whimsical encounters, random oddities, potential sea monsters, etc. Less of Skyrim the theme park. Replace that with actual RPG content--making decisions that matter, branching questlines, choices with consequences, etc. But, as Jean-Claude noted, that would require a modicum of complexity beyond "this is a hostle NPC", so Bethesda shys away from it.

I am not sure how to reply. There are tons of dragons, named and normal. 1 more dragon in the sea doesn't sound too game changing. You would just have to watch out when you swim.

You don't need to reply, I was just being an old grumpy RPGer. Theme parks are popular, hence the explosive success of Skyrim. I just was saying that I'd prefer fewer virtual rollercoasters and more actual RPGing. Despite the fact that it is on the tip of my tongue I am holding back one of those "back in my day" rants.

Well tell me. Do you know what Leviathan is?

Not as a rude remark, just curious.. could that be modded in a sea serpent shape and made? Or would that kind of model be not possible?

IS the Leviathan a complex being which can interact with the player? Does the players actions throughout the life of the character dictate how the leviathan might behave? Does the Leviathan judge you on your actions thorugh your life and send you on an expedition to Atmora? While searching Atmora and discovering the Frozen horde, do you wait patiently to notice that the Draugr are actually servents of the Dragon Priests whose existance in immortality is for the soul purpose to give their life force back to the Dragon Priest? Do you then discover that Leading the Frozen Horde is a Nereverine who was tricked by Azura?

just like the dragons do? if he sees you, he attacks, you can move to land and fight at the shore, or attempt to escape. I just would like to see more water hazzards
UNCShadow 20. juni 2014 kl. 0:36
If a sea monster was to be added I would like to be able to dodge/attack in the water as well.
Munkee 20. juni 2014 kl. 1:50
Hm.. idk, that wouldn't be too realistic, because the water would slow your swings. I would just wanna faster swim ability. and meet him on the shore.
MistySun 20. juni 2014 kl. 1:55
Next would be the SkyNess monster in the lakes:)
