Bow Comparison: Auriel's Bow VS a bow that does the same damage
Contestant 1: Nordic Bow of Dragon Fire (Legendary)
Damage: 74
Enchant: Fire (21 Damage)
Arrow Type: Ebony (un-improved)

Contestant 2: Auriel's Bow (Legendary)
Damage: 74
Enchant: Sun (10 Damage)
Arrow Type: Ebony (un-improved)

In yours opinions, should I keep Auriel's Bow or use my Nordic Bow? I do have the Sunhallowed Elven Arrows, but... they seem to not use the same scripting of setting the weight of an arrow in Skyrim.ini. They fall short instead of keep going straight.

Auriels Bow.
Keep in mind you haven't upgraded it yet as you have with the Nordic Bow ;)
(the amount of elemental damage you do over time, isn't to important)

I have upgraded it. Redid the OP to be a bit more classy.

Oh, classy.
I'd still go with Auriels Bow. The only two bows that outclass it in my opinion are Daedric and Dragon Bows.

you can't shoot blood-cursed arrows at the sun unless you use Auriels Bow

Or sunhallowed arrows. And make sure Aureils bow is fully charged. But yeah tyhat bow and the crossbow are my two fave bows.

I have a fully upgraded Daedric Bow with enchantments of FireSoulTrap and Fire Damage. Using Dragonbone arrows is very damaging. Once I shoot an arrow at the sun (solely for the achievement medal), Auriel's bow will go back on the wall of one of my homes to stay.

I also have an upgraded crossbow with same enchantments. way cool however, rate of fire is slower.

To add what others said here, Auriel's bow does triple damage to undead and draws faster if you're using elven arrows.

I looked up the weight and they are similar, with the Nordic being 11 and the Standard Elven being 12. The Elven bow is SLIGHTLY faster, at .69 vs .68 for the Nordic bow. However, Auriel's bow is a special elven bow, it's speed is 1. That's fast, like Zephyr, and for me, this speed, coupled with Quick draw perk in archery, which augments it a bit, would make Auriel's bow the bow I'd keep. Making vampires explode is always fun.

The ultimate bow, however, is the bound bow. With archery and conjuration perks, this bow is serious business. The fastest bow in the game, and one of the strongest, as it's Daedric, especially if you're not a crafter. Of course, if you craft, you can make a weapon that's far better, but if you don't, and you are magically inclined, then bound bow is an exceptional weapon and rather stupidly available early on.

Only bow I will use is Imperial. Mix it with stealth and you don't need a overpowered bow.

Auriel bow is easily the best for it's godly draw speed.

Also, the bow once belonged to motherf*cking AKATOSH. So yeah, the Dragon God's bow ftw.

Aruials bow.. It also has a really good efferct for undead.. mix that with sunhollowed arrows.. thats a good combo
