Where did my life go? Kudos everyone.
Posted last week that my game hit "yawn" stage after 150 something hours. A few forum stalwarts suggested some mods.

So I did and err.... wow. Where did my life go?! I'm at 300 hours something - I think. Whose counting?

Mods suggested? Frostfall was one suggestion, combined with Wet and Cold and Realistic Needs. Missions? Who needs missions? Surviving is now the funnest part. I enter dungeons just so I can get warm!!

With the addition of Sounds of Skyrim, HD textures, Real lightning and rain, Climates of Tamriel etc. I have exchanged my RL world for my VL world. Literally.

No fast travel is allowed. Only my trusty steed. And I'm loving it.

Only last night, (2.30 in the afternoon in TES) at Whiterun I had a rain storm. A darkened sky, lightning dancing on the ground in front of me, I was drenched, cold, hungry, tired and thirsty but I just stood there, taking it all in, mesmerised.

In Eastmarch yesterday afternoon, it's autumn. The sun is shining. Who needs gold? Who needs monsters? Is that a deer? Yes. There's a fox too. Sneak... sneak....

I'm on holidays.

Without doubt this is one of the best games (my first ever RPG) I've ever experienced and if not for the *amazing* work of the modders and the help of the guys here (you know who you are) I would have moved on to - much lesser things....

Kudos all and Thanks.

Now... I'm off to... ahh... who cares... somewhere......

Dear Grandma, I hope this letter finds you well. Say hello to Ma, I know she doesn't approve of my life style, but I'm following in Grandpa's footsepts. Remember how he used to say that practice made perfect. Well, I was sneaking from shadow to shadow, "Shadowing", I'm so funny, this town guard. When all of a sudden i felt a familiar tingle up my spine like Grandpa said would happen. All of a sudden I realized I could Sneak right up to him, and it would be as though I were invisible, right in his area of awareness. I have to tell you I was so thrilled and proud, I put my well-practiced Pickpocketing skills to work and stole John Laws clothes. I swear he just stood there in his loincloth looking so stupid. I Sneaked over to the general goods store I had been caseing. Putting Grandpa's instructions on Lockpicking to use again, I went in throught the back door, filled my sack, and exited the door. Like Grandpa always said, clear traps on the way in, speedy exit. Anyway when I Sneaked out the back way, the sun was about up. Yeah, I got distracted leafing through a facinating book the trader had. As I made my way to the gate, that same guard said he'd been wounded in the knee when he was an adventurer, but I couldn't see a scar on him. Ha, Ha. I wanted to let you know I finally finished my new home on the land the Jarl sold me. I talked an old friend named Lydia into becoming my steward. I finally asked Serena to marry me. She said YES. I know we have our differences but I really like her. Well now I have my own place with a library, alchemy room, enchanting room, even an extra bedroom if me and my bride want some bats, I meant to say brats. That neighbor The Cheese Maker I told you about, had to go. He kept killing my cows. I Sneaked into his camp, and Pickpocketed a really powerful paralyze poison into his pocket. He went right down to where I could get at him. I had no sooner taken him out and taken a toe as a token, when two of his Mammoths came at me. Well, I must tell you it took a lot of fancy footwork keeping the giant's bonfire between me and the second one. After taking a few snout steaks for supper I found his treasure stash on the way home.Well I just wanted you to know that I'm doing well and getting married. Serana likes to stay indoors all day so I'll be able to travel about at will. My new horse finally learned to come to me after I learned to whistle just right. Well, got to go, tell Ma I love her but there is the family honor and tradition to uphold, Your loving grandson Gardener

Sorry folks. I thought this tread, while it had no question, would be a good place for me to express how much I really enjoy this great game too.

I lol'led. But yeah frostfall is amazing. Running from campfire to campfire, diving into a cave to not freeze to death only to stumble upon monsters while all I'm trying to do is get dry and not get frostbite.

that is definitely putting yourself in the mind of your character. and dont forget to use Melzey's Mammoth Manuever (MMM). lure a mammoth to a bridge or other structure and crawl underneath to shoot and cast where the mammoth cant get you.

Great story, I liked it, but how does that work?! If you pickpocket a paralyze poison in to someone's pocket, how do they drink it? I've NEVER seen this! :-(

Your right Maverick, answer Skyrim. Poisons work, don't think potion et al do.
Zefram Cochrane Jun 16 @ 2:20pm
Yes, thats a great story. You've caught the bug like the rest of us :)

There is a perk you have to get, poison pickpocket or somthing like that. They don't actually drink it they just suddenly get affected by it.

Don't have that mod. Works from skill tree I believe. My Thief, Alchemist,Mage,Warrior is pretty high level now.

I have never used a single mod, and I am approaching 500 hours of gameplay. Why fix a game that doesn't need to be fixed?
