Are you talking mods installed. over 3Gb. mod the heck out of it if you want. if you talking the amount you can download from the workshop. no limit. major conflicts but no limits. same with nexus. other download sites might.

The practical mod limit is 225.

Don't know what that means. It apparently isn't English.

225 is the amount of mods that game engine can handle, without going in to constant state of CTDs. Doing batch patches can virtually raise the cap, but game gets so heavy that it is rarely practical.

Oh. It's 225? I've been operating under the assumption it was 250. I'm a lot closer to hitting the limit than I thought.

It seems to somewhat depend on your mod environment. 225 is considered as practical point. You might be able to mod above that, if your engine can handle it. It isn't recommended, though.

I'm going to be cutting it close with some of the quest mods I'll soon be adding, but I think I can get right under that. If not, it's time to rethink my mod list. Besides, with the amount of mods I already have and the resulting performance, it's probably better that it's not 250.

actually i was refering to the amount of times you can dload from steam.

If you mean a download and reinstall limit of SKYRIM itself no there is none. You can install and uninstall as much as you want without worry.

It would seem that he is more interested in installing the game on multiple PCs. His emotes also would indicate that he is RPing his forum posts. Even an old D&D'er like myself finds that odd.

Yeah. There isn't any that sort of download limit, or I would have skipped away from here long time ago.

Yes that's taking DRM protection too far and cutting major profits of the company when nobody buys their product.

Steam is pretty generous in that regard. I've had stuff I've downloaded elsewhere, DRM protected, that I can only download once or twice. After that, nada. My hard drive failed. Oh, you expect me to purchase it again? Get lost, you're not getting any more of my business.

A friend of mine just had a hard drive fail on him and having to redownload Command And Conquer 3 for at least six hours all over again from Origins very slow servers is not sitting well with him. No wonder the stores used to have the entire collection in the bargin bin for $1.99 with cd installs no longer working soon after that. Thank goodness for STEAM and GOG.
