A faster way to acquire gold is with the console command 'player.additem 0000000F' followed by the amount of gold you want. I think the maximum amount you can carry is 90000000.

As for leveling up, there's a mod called Max Skill Stones (if I recall the name correctly) that puts skill stones at the three Guardian Stones--Mage, Thief, & Warrior--which instantly raise all your skills to level 100. I'm currently using it and I must say it's a tremendous help to new characters since I'm always creating characters I want to play as.

That's alright, everyone plays the game how they want to. I was just providing alternatives for anyone who didn't know about it or wanted a quicker procedure of obtaining gold and levels.
