Did the "Valhalla" bit....
Got my ego stroked with "All hail the Dragonborn" but it's a case of now what?

Level 30, 120k in the bank, 5 houses. Kinda too tough to beat.

Are any of the remaining storylines going to be as intense/interesting/involving?

Haven't bothered much with Solthiem yet, didn't pick sides in the war and not quite sure whether a restart is the best at a harder level (oh the tedium of it) or to keep playing at being a pretty serious BOSS of Skyrim.

Suggestions? Without spoilers if possible?

Try the DLCs if you have them, and play through the guild questlines. They are all pretty good. Beyond that, there are some really nice adventure mods like Wymstooth and Falksaar. Lots of good immersion mods as well, like Frostfall. Idk what difficulty you're playong on, but I suggest turning it up and really challenging yourself. The DB DLC is challenging from what I've read.

As much as I lov e this game it does get easier the higher your level is. I found that after i plaed throiugh all the questlines and received most of the achievemnrts and when I start a new toon, it is most rearding/challenging to do a questline or two and start again. this time another quest line or two and start again, and so on.
Each time you start over pick a new race and center on one aspect, either a questline or collect all dragon words maybe even just becoming thane in all the holds. Mix and match playstyles fullon warrior, true thief, or pure mage.choose a race that compliments your new character and goals such as Khajiit foir the thieves guild. next time play an ork in the thieves guild.
There are mods that do make enemies better and not just bty increasiung health or level. Some alter the AI so they detect better, use combat skills more effectively or even level better than you do.
I did the Dragon born DLC twice and both times eas not impressed but i did so at a high level. No matter if things get stale change things up for yourself and have fun

Hmmm.... I've invested a bit of time making the place look pretty nice and testing out some AI improvements with mods.

I actually enjoy just ranging, hunting and faffing around but you can only do that for so long because there is no real... purpose to it all.

Kinda lost my focus realising that it's going to be more of the same. I was expecting escalation/doomsday/oh noes but it's gone flat now that I've kinda "done the deed".

Are the "Dwemer issues" worth continuing and is "Miraak" still a serious dude once I've been hoorahed by Odin?

Can I smash the Imperials and turn Skyrim into an egalitarian Stormcloak state or have I ruined it with the truce I brokered?

Can I even be king? I reeeeeeeeeaaaalllly don't want to do all those lame-ass missions...... again!!!

the civil war is separate. so join whatever side you want now. I dont like spoilers but Miirak is tough simply because you have to knock him down dseveral times and hope the game doesnt glitch making him invulnerable or not giving you the proper stage completions.
go do the remaining stuff you have to do but dont expect miracles. if its becoming stale go play a lame game for a bit and come back. skyrim will be waiting

I hear ya loud and clear mate :)

Managed 220+ hrs since I got it. Seen some guys on 2000+ so must be something sitting "just around the corner" I'm sure.

I left for 6 months i guess and played several mmos and solo pc games but the whole time i kept thinking about and comparing them to Skyrim.
Btw sneak archers are the easiest to play and im most comfortable this way as well. broaden your horizons. play an archer without ever sneaking or a conjurer that only conjures weapons not creatures or that raise the undead. put a twist on it.

The truce is simply a temporary measure while you sort out Alduin, once that's over the Imperials and Stormcloaks can go back to business as normal (although I don't think they do unless you join up with one side or the other.)

Install Requiem. Proceed to get your ass handed to you by every basic enemy in the game.

But seriously, I would install some quest mods/new lands. Falskaar and Elsweyr are a good place to start if you want to go that route.

I tried Requiem and got whupped so bad that I scurried away with my tail between my legs. If you want a real challenge give it a shot.

Requiem is awesome, although I will admit I play it with the damage taken/dealt tweaked quite heavily in my favour - I take about 40% as much as Requiem's default and deal about 140%. I also tweaked a few other things because I got too freaked out by the blurred vision for poison etc.

I tested just getting out of helgen. without adjusting anything i died once when the dragon broke through the tower wall where you jump across. hint:dont stand in the way of dragon fire. I then stood on a burning body. yep another burnt corpse.
I died three time at the first battle with the 2 soldiers of the opposing faction you went with. I died twice when the two opposing forces meet just before entering the caves. I got poisoned by spiders and was seeing double. I tried sneaking past the bear cause i wasnt in the mood to fight a bear. it didnt work. i lived but with no health regen i entered the world with 10% health. I cant wait for a real monster.
oh ya i also cant carry any weight because its dependant on health. this is going to be fun

Definitely. I kept the 100-100 damage split and it's insane. I'm only level 7 after putting ten hours into it because I get destroyed any time I attack a bandit camp. And no fast-traveling has led to me finding things I had never seen in Skyrim. Truly a great mod if you can stick with it.

Requiem coming right up it seems. It sounds very... err... nice. Thx chaps.
