Since using BOSS, I've been getting constant CTD's
A wise man said; "If it's not broken, don't fix it!" Yet BOSS said how it would autoset my mod load order and make the mods more compatible. Yet all it did was cause CTD's. No error, just, closes for no reason.
What's bad, is I can't find what's causing it. It can happen at anytime. Running around, going into another area, just standing around and it will just close.

Before, I occasionally (yet rarely) got an error about "pure function call", and now it just closes for no reason.
Anyway I can save my save game and the mods I use and go back to the old load order before I used BOSS? Here I thought it was a mod I recently added. Removed them, still happening. I'm hoping I don't have to completely do a new game, and then pray it wasn't a mod causing it.

I don't really want to blame BOSS, as I've used it in the past and I didn't see this. But that was over two years ago, and programs do get updated. All I know, it was fine until I used BOSS, and now I can play for up to 5 minutes, sometimes up to a few hours, and, it will just close without warning.

I recommend you go back to an old load order. I have found BOSS is not perfect. I use it but have to move some mods to the bottom of the load order to get them to work. One that makes the bard at Lakeview Manor a woman, a change to Ysolda and Multiple Followers Lite are three that come to mind.

Thing is, I don't know what the old load order was. I use NMM to set the load order, and do my best to read mod descriptions to the letter, especially if they mention a specific load order.

Did you make a clean save of your characters after using BOSS?

load your character save up, save it and reload it, do this for all character saves you want to play.

This should help, but I don't think you will ever stop CTD's happening BOSS can make your system more stable, but it's not a cure.

I'm also learning how to make my game more stable, you will have to learn how to clean the mods of errors, BOSS logs can help a great deal by just looking to see which mods have problems and cleaning them or even getting rid of them and finding another one that does the same job.

also there is a limit to how many mods skyrim can handle, 255 is the limit, after that you have to learn how to combine them if you want more on.

there is also a ram limit with skyrim of 2gb's you need to look up how to expand this to 4gb's to get the game even more stable, search for ENBoost this little program can help heaps.

Hope this helps

Use LOOT, not BOSS.

LOOT is made by the same ppl as BOSS< and has since replaced it.

I tried using this LOOT program. I'm still getting Runtime Errors. Error R6025, pure virtual function call. I'll be sitting in my house (my modded house, I use Elysium Estate) and doing nothing for 5 minutes, then the error pops up.
This error, I've only seen once or twice, and it was rare. Now it seems to be replacing the CTD's.

I have tried cleaning dirty edits, reported by BOSS before doing this, in the master files and in two mods that weren't cleaned. This didn't help, unfortunately.

Is it the fact I don't have this "Bashed Patch. 0.esp" file enabled, that was created by BOSS?

Ok, I tried loading my last permasave, which is after completing the Dawnguard questline (and a day before I used BOSS), went back to the same area, waited up to 10 minutes, and got no crash.
I still can't believe that. I trusted BOSS before, only for it to tear my save up. Thank goodness for having a save before using it.

You create a bash patch using Wyre Bash and the bash patch are those ESMs and ESPs that you cleaned.
Once you clean the game do not verify, it will revert back to where you started from the first place.

Edit: BOSS or Loot only notifies that they need cleaning using TES5Edit and basp patch using Wyre Bash.

BOSS/LOOT only sorts load order only ESMs to texture packs and the unofficial patches as well. After that it may be guess work as BOSS/LOOT team must manually look and decide where they go in load order and with so many mods now, things can go astray.

Also it is up to you to read modders descriptions and decide where to place mods, remember some mods need other mods to work properly or load before or after a particular mod. This is called Mod Load Order which is not the same as Game Load Order.

I know nothing about "bash patches", or even how Wyre Bash works. I just want to play my game without issues.
That damn Error R6025 is still in my game. How do I get rid of it?
Ark Valkyrie 5 JUN 2014 a las 0:50
Can you post your current load order?

Error R6025 is a corruption in your MS Visual C++. You will need to repair it using vcredist_x86 found in the VCRedist folder in Skyrim Folder. Also make sure you have MS Visual C++ 2010 x64 installed if you have a Win7 64bit.

I have MS Visual C++ from 2005 to 2013 installed. And sure, I'll take a picture of my Load Order;

Where can I find these unofficial patches? I never needed them before, just saying.
Also, this load order is from LOOT, not BOSS.

Bump. Help please?
★Kelvy★ 5 JUN 2014 a las 15:29
Sorry Benie early morning here they are pinned at top of forum page get the ones from the modder called Arthmoor.
Even though your game may have worked great for awhile, you are missing a lot of vanilla 'in game play' and adding mods, they themselves maybe requiring information from those parts therefore CTD as they are looking for them.
Beth had to release game to the market before completion because the parent company requirements.

Thank you, Kelvy. I'm downloading them now and will use them. Hopefully this fixes the problems. Also, I have used vcredist_x86. Though I don't think it fixed anything. According to the install, it found no problems.
