Which Elder Scrolls Games Can I Run?
I don't know much about computer specs, and I really wanted to play any of The Elder Scrolls games. Here are my specs:
Processor: Intel Core i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60 GHz 2.30 GHz
RAM: 8.00GB (7.89 GB usable)
System type:64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Graphics Card:Intel HD Graphics Family
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As long as I can play any of the games in the series on at least low graphics and 20+ fps, I'll be fine.
I can run games like TF2 at really high framerates and medium-high graphics, if that helps. Thanks.

Skyrim plus 3 DLC'S plus Hi Res Texture Pack = 11.2 GB

You can definitely run Morrowind and previous TES games with that. Oblivion and Skyrim, though? Possibly. They SHOULD be able to, and if you only need ~20 FPS on lowest settings, you should be able to run any of them.

Ok, thanks.

I'll try Morrowind, I heard that that isn't graphics heavy nowadays.

It came out in 2003 so ofc.
Every game's store page on Steam features the required computer specs to run the game.

Sometimes it's not easy to spot, but make sure you scroll down from the ''BUY EEEEET!'' section, and you will see the specs :)

They are in a blacked box section..

Ok, thanks. I just wasn't sure if my specs are equal to those requiremnts though.

I can't make head or tail of comparing my specs to a given game's, tbh, but I find this site pretty helpful http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri (it does do some magical looking into your computer to see what it has, so I don't know for sure how safe that is, but I've seen it recommended by people who understand these things, so, erm... I probably wouldn't recommend installing its little program thingy, but I think the Java version done in your browser's probably as safe as most things on the internets?)

if it's not on fire, you're good.

You will be able to play all of them. Skyrim will have to be on low settings, Oblivion around that too (it's poorly optimized), but Morrowind will be completely fine (and it's the best out of the three!).

Thanks! I just bought Morrowind, so I guess I'll play the games in order. I'm happy to know that I can run anything after Morrowind.

Cool! Be warned though, it can take a while to warm up to Morrowind. And it's very harsh in the beginning. There's a great series on youtube that will teach a newcomer everything he needs to know about the game before jumping in, and mostly avoiding any spoilers :

I suggest you watch them while your game is downloading to pass the time :)

Ok, thanks. I tried killing the guy at the beggining, but that didn't end well. I'll watch the series now.
How old is the computer? And what type of graphics card is it? Family integrated what? I have a 1 year old laptop that costed like $550 and and my fps in skyrim is 25-30 depending on location while running over 50 mods on high textures. Skyrim was made in like 2009 so any pc thats under 4 years old should be fine with running skyrim.
