Several thugs attacked me when I fast-travelled to Riverwood. Nothing at all strange about that, I had been going around stealing ♥♥♥♥. I killed them easily, but when I went to read the contract they had on me, it was signed Paarthurnax......

Yes I had stolen some items from High Hrothgar. Those 5 Regeneration Potions were just so tempting. Didn't kill Paarthurnax, haven't met him yet in this playthrough. Just found it kinda funny that a Dragon could put out a hit on me. Speaking of which, how'd he manage to put pen to paper to write the contract? lol

I get attacked by thugs on occasion as well, though there were rare instances when the person who sent them was Moira, the Hagraven from Sanguine's quest. This is actually very bizarre as I hadn't even begun the quest which is when she's supposed to spawn into the game. Whenever I went there beforehand, she wasn't present; yet she still somehow managed to send thugs after me for something I haven't even done to her since she hadn't spawned yet.

I even created a thread about this a while ago. It's still around, but is buried somewhere in all the other threads here.
