Jordis the Sword-Maiden in Proudspire Manor question ??

The question is why the hell she keeps stareing at one spot doing nothing ? I mean she never moves she never sleeps in her basement bed is there some sort of bug with her I even tried disable-ing and enable-ing her via console but she still stand in one place foverev. She should be like other housecarls doing something in your house atleast for eating or siting down and more or less sleeping. Its so weird.

checking the CK she has the same AI package as the others allowing sleep, eat, etc...

possibly resetai as a console command if you truely feel she does nothing or go soewhere and wait 11 days allowing AI reset on its own.

Ok he is doing stuff now but still she dosent sleep and it is like that in evry city home where housecarls never sleep but the bed is owned by them why is that ?

Sometimes the AI packages do not work correctly. my current wife doesn't sleep right now either nor does lydia. they move around breezehome and will sit and eat and use the cooking pot but not sleep.

It is just one of those things I have grown to accept. I rarely sleep as well so getting the bonus for sleeping with my wife I am nbot concerned about but she better have my money everyday or else.

I haven't used it long enough to see if it works with Jordis but it works with the Markarth housecarl.
I don't remember seeing any of the housecarls sleeping in vanilla Skyrim, although maybe the unnoficial patches corrected that.

In my game, Jordis moves interacts and moves around the main floor, but doesn't sleep. Is her room supposed to be the crummy room in the basement that seems to have no purpose other than have the sleeping bag on the floor? That's not owned either, so I'm not sure it's even hers. I wish I could make that her room or something useful.Or, was that supposed to be updated, and there's a glitch, because when I got a housecarl in Markarth, the room he uses transformed and cleaned up once I was named thane and got him.

Yes it is suppose to change into her room.

From the UESP Wiki:
Bug: The housecarl's bedroom in the basement will not be furnished after you are made thane.
This bug is fixed by version 1.0 of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.
You can use the following console commands to fix the issue: prid 000e25d4 followed by enable.
If two boxes on the right of the room do not disappear (partly overlapping a chair), you can use the following console commands prid 000e273a followed by disable.

Thanks! I'll give that a try. It's almost funny. I moved my family into Proudspire; Lydia is my wife and usual follower- and I've found her sleeping in that bedroll. She never sleeps in the master bed, like she did at the other place. And sometimes when she's in the basement, she's staring at the ceiling that's right about where Jordis is sitting in the room above. Maybe she's just jealous or having a follower/wife/housecarl personality disorder crisis. LOL.

It is things like this that are why I never have a follower and never get married in the game. The whole Heartfire DLC has so many bugs that you have to download a fix for this, or a fix for that. Even the Unofficial Patches don't seem to fix everthing. Someone always has a problem with marriage, Addoption, Houses, etc...!!!
