You should be fine.
If you're new to Skyrim, Welcome ... first things first. download and install USLEEP it fixes a huge number of bugs and glitches, Do that before you even start playing and you'll have a much better time. Look at the pinned threads at the top of the forums.

This is the link to the nexus file ... you'll need to create an account, but don't panic when you see the payment info screens, it's a free service you just have to look for the continue button on the bottom and create the account for free
I found the HD-Texture mod but should i install USLEEP before installing that? BTW, what's this Nexus thing you're talking about and why do i need that?
I would allow the texture pack to complete downloading if you already subscribed, then install USLEEP, also I forgot to mention, sorry ... there is also a patch for the HD texture pack.
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31255. Install this after USLEEP.
there are also some basic tools if you're going to mod. LOOT is probably the most important. but there is no need to do it all at once... Learn and have fun. reading the player spreadsheet will answer a lot of your basic questions. I highly recommend taking a few minutes and reading it.

Can't i just install the HD-texture pack and be done with it? I feels like i've gotta do alot of reserach before understandning how and where to find all the mods you're mentioning and i get the feeling that actually playing the game will have to wait with this approach. I just want to play the game, when you say Nexus and USLEEP i'm lost. Remember this is my first time with any of the Elder Scrolls games and i'm manily here for the game. I hope i don't sound rude, that's not my intention i just wanna play the game as fast as possible :)
Ok, just created an account on the Nexus Forums, what do i do now?
Do not use if you don't have all 3 dlc.

EDIT: Use Nexus Mod Manager (NMM), as a beginner. It's the easiest mod manager to use. Also get tools for safe modding. LOOT: {LINK REMOVED}https://loot.github.io/

Those are your initial tools. Happy modding. :)
BTW, does the HD-Texture pack support all the DLC in The Legendary Edition or just the base game so to speak?
Good..thnx, if i would like to install the USLEEP patch manually, how do i go about doing that btw?
So i installed both "The High Resolution Texture Pack" and the "Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch". I'm also thinking of installing the "patch for the HD texture pack", do i install that the same way i did with USLEEP, that is extracting it into the data-folder of the Skyrim-folder?
