crashing
I have seen a few threads on this in my googling, but they were all mostly old from 2013 or 2012, so I don't know if there have been any fixes or breakthroughts since then.....

I haven't had any problems with Skyrim before, but recently it keeps crashing. A few times I've had a c++ runtime error and then it crashes, and now it just keeps crashing to desktop with no errors or warnings or anything... Is there any kind of fix for this?

I am on:
Window 7 64 bit
DirectX 11
16GB RAM
AMD FX 6-core 3.5GHz processor
Tonnes of space on hard drive

I bought a specioal edition, which came with some DLCs, such as Dawnguard, etc... I have no other mods other than the ones that came with it.

Is there any way to work out what is causing these crashes? As it's unplayable now, it happens after about 20 seconds of playing.

If you need any more information, please let me know.

Thank you.

CMR, yeah, try the easy properties/local files/verify integrity of game cache, also rerun the dotnetfx.exe probably here :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\DotNetFX.

Exit out of steam, then log back in & try again.
