The Must-Have Mods?
I'm looking for some suggestions on visual mods. What mods do you guys suggest I get to revamp this games look? (Everything from environments and water to creatures and character models)

Also, I am using the Nexus Mod Manager so it does not only have to be what is on the workshop.

Some mod lingo you should be aware of;

Immersive/Realistic = "Look everyone I made a mod"
HD = Darker
Better/Beautiful = Bigger ♥♥♥♥

Now that's out of the way, here's the link to the NEXUS

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/?

If you are interested in the visuals of your character, jackga mods work quite well. Some you can download off of steam, some from his site.

I presonaly don't know a thing about nexus, and don't care to.

You should make it a personal goal to get some one day. I don't see how anyone could NOT be a Nexus fan. To each their own, I guess.

Well the problem I have with steam is that the best thing aren't on STEAM also steam updates mods automatically what can result in a very buggy mess.

Because that site DDoSes itself through NMM? Because there is like "no criticism of any kind" policy, so it's pretty much a hugbox for modder drama queens that overreact to anything else than praises and bootlicking?

Well for most mods you are dependent on the nexus, because they are exclusives so ... and no I'm no fan the site is buggy, etc however the steam system is also far from perfect.

So, kinda like Steam then? Ok, got it.

I wanted to install only one mod, RealVision ENB and ended up in a ♥♥♥♥load of suggested mods linked from it.

To be fair to Nexus, the no-criticism rule probably came in because the moderators couldn't be arsed to sort the posts with actual legitimate criticism from flame posts from people that just hate the concept of the mod.

That's why I look at S.T.E.P. or G.E.M.S. for possible mods instead of trawling through Nexus or Workshop. Or you could look up the million other "what mods to get?" threads that have been posted and will continue to be posted here.

Just noticed, PotatoMan...
Nothing in your post was posted by me. Not sure how that got screwed up so bad. But none of those were my comments. The one attributed to me in your post was actually carybdeida's post.

I recommend you to download Skyrim Flora Overhaul [nexusmods.com]. It's my favourite visual mod, but it takes some PC resources...

Do not use NMM. Manually install your mods. You literally just copy and paste files.

Bad advice. Why would you manually install mods?
