Civil War Overhaul question
Hello, I have been tyring to download the Civil War Overhaul mod for 2 days now. My newest, and most durable brick wall has been the fact both the mod itself and the BOSS mod use Zip files. However, my computer is stupid and doesn't know how to handle zip files. Are their any alternate ways to open those files?

Sorry, but this from someone that has stated they don't even know when to use it and, to my knowledge, has never used it.

Goggle "7zip" and it will work and it is free. Then just associate the file.

google "7zip" it doesn't get any easier than that. You deleted your post asking for a link... noted

tried that. I only *just* saved my computer from spontaniously combusting before asking this question

Yikes. O.K. what was the combustion problem?

I downloaded a Zip thing, tried to run it, my screen turned blue (not bluescreen of death) and I couldn't do anything. Luckilly, I know the control + alt + delete method of turning off the computer and turning it back on

I'm not an expert on solftwere...

But where exactly did you download this "Zip thing"?

Where the hXdouble hockey sticks did you attempt the download? There are copy sites that lure and lurk.

Anyhow the url is: http://www.7-zip.org/

By the way, I don't know what you downloaded but you better have some good anti-virus/malware software because you might have been co-opted. What did you download?

Wow, that should have been safe but any site can be hijacked.. soo I don't know what the problem could be with that download. That is the official link, though, and I ran the "Trial" download with no problem.

Think very hard and read the instructions carefully before you install CWO.

Of course. Your problem is that your comp for some reason refuses to open Zip files. I'm just warning you that CWO is very script heavy, there are game breaking bugs (Console fixable if you really know what you're doing) and it pretty much only works on new games. It is a fun mod when it works unless you've played GTA SA.

Why are you trying to unzip the files in the first place? NMM will unpack the archive and install the mod for you...
