My Dualshock 4 won't work with Skyrim
I did everything the videos and websites say to do, which is to connect your DS4 into your computer then go into Big Picture mode and configure the buttons on your DS4. But it still wont work. Its driving me crazy because i see people on all sorts of forums say that skyrim is working with their DS4. Any help will be very appreciated.

I think you need a software first to recognise controllers. It's the same for Xbox controllers.

@Delta I just plug in my 360 controller then start the game and it works nothing else required.

That's because skyrim is made to work with 360 controllers but not PS4 or Xbox One controllers

Skyrim wasn't made for Xbox 360 Controllers, Skyrim was made for KB+M on PC.

The game supports the Xbox 360 Controller natively due to Microsoft Drivers, Sony refuses to supply drivers for PlayStation Controllers, so that's why you guys need to emulate and install custom drivers.

PS: The Xbox One Controller works as fine as the Xbox 360 Controller. Like always, Microsoft supplied the drivers.

Sorry what I meant was that it was made to be compatible with 360 controllers and dualshock 3 because Skyrim is on 360 and PS3 but not on PS4 or Xbox One

Skyrim is made to have standard x-input controller input, it'll work with anything that supplies those inputs, microsoft or otherwise. It's all down to the drivers, or lack of them. It has to implemented in the game code or nothing will happen controller-wise.

Sony never created any official drivers to make the dualshock 3 work on a PC, a 3rd party wrote them.

@OP: you did install the drivers for it, right?

yeah, the drivers that windows automatically installed for me. If your talking about the xbox driver emulator and dll file crap then i'll just stick with my keyboard and mouse. I don't feel like messing around with all that stuff.
