Now that this is complete, I will check for instances of redundancy and read through their descriptions on Nexus. Then determine whether they are esms or esps.
Any imput is always welcome. Thank you.
no offense meant by my question, just curious.
Let me know if the LOOT order differs significantly from your theoretical order.
Lol, absolutely non taken. Unlimited bookshelves doesn't just apply to books, but nearly anything small enough can now fit into a bookshelf. Gems, soul gems, small quest items, special things that he/she finds in their travels, even small weapons fit. He/she'd own a humble house, preferable not in a major hold, with the exception of Breezehome or Honeyside. The other houses are too grand. Hearthfire homes could also be used if I opted to make the small cabin. There were these neat external treehouse homes that I really liked, but having a dog follower would make them very difficult to use.
From what I understand survivalist builds focus on survival. Duh, right? Haha, well, again from my limited understanding it usually involves the following...
No fast travel
Must sleep and eat (iNeed) on a regular schedule
Live off the land (Hunting and/or fishing) - I forgot about the mod Fishing in Skyrim, I should add that
The elements can hurt/kill you (Frostfall)
Carry equipment that makes sense, aka, no 15 types of weapons, multiple armor sets, 50000 septims. :)
I've added to the mix mods that really hinder what you can find and I've eliminated the enemy scaling. I kind of opted for a bit of a Morrowind flavor to a lot of the mods, as I'll not be using the typical compass, quest markers, or standard character creation.
Some people do not actively quest in these builds, but I have no problem doing so. Depends on the questline. What quests were done would depend on whether he/she was good or had a more sinister personality. I'm leaning towards the reluctant hero. Past events forced him to lead a solitary life, his story will be one of gradual reintegration back into society. I have some interesting build ideas.
I have a decent rig (quad core i7, 3.4GHz, 16GB ddr3 RAM, NVidia Geforce 670 card, 1TB Hardrive), and I'm running a similar set of mods now, except more dlc type mods (Wyrmstooth, Moonpath) instead of overhauls. I think I should be ok graphically, but will opt to tone it down if there are issues. I may save enough to upgrade the graphics card.
I am very curious about this as well. At any rate, by figuring this out on my own first, I learn about how the mods work, which I think is extremely important.
Since i restarted to play Skyrim about a month ago, i just kept my ancient mods and just removed some and added others.
I use only Workshop mods and have very rarely glitches. I have now allmost 80 active mods and don't use SKSE, LOOP or any other "Big Things"
I sorted out my mods like :
- Dlcs (i don't have unofficial patches and seem not to suffer from it)
- Graphics mods : starting by the largest or most complete ones and letting the minor ones at the bottom.
- Race and character mods : same, the most general mods first, then the small adds, then special NPCs
- Gameplay mods : i have very few, just some to add some "special effects" i want to my games
- Crafting : changes to mining, smithing, leather working and adding some weapons and armors
So, here is my last list with some mods added last night i have not tested (armors for Sofia i recently added). Some are there just in case i need their features for a future game (per ex, vampire char) :
- Dawnguard.esm
- Dragonborn.esm
- Heartfire.esm

- Lanterns of Skyrim all in one
- Vurt Flora overall (Redux)
- Skyrim – nicer Shrubs
- Lush grass
- Lush trees
- Climates of Tamriel
- Pure weather
- Pure waters
- HQ snow texture
- Better dynamic snow
- Rocks2K S.E.
- Towns & Villages enhanced (15 specific mods)
- Pinewood village
- Personal camp
- Ruins clutter improved
- House map makers (French)
- Sheznie’s Breezehome
- Better quest objectives
- Mine Ore Glow mode
- Unread books glow
- Longer torches
- Morrowind-colored soul gems
- Lushious faces
- Radioreggae’s Hair workshop 2

- Arrows of might
- Backpack
- Armored circlets
- Freya’s Raitment
- Medusa armor
- Plate armor plus
- (Ring of carrying stuff – no longer used)
I put my list as it looks like yours in some aspects. I don't pretend this is the best loading order, but things don't go bad for me and ii have a very good game experience with this setting up.
I like to play with custom races and used to focus on sneaking/bow, that's why many mods are dedicated to this. Same with forging and smithing.
Those i really like :
- Shezies's Breezehome : the best house modification i know. Plenty of specific containers to sort all out.
- Mine ore glow mode : it does not show each and every ore spot, dunno why. But so far as i often wander around at night, i appreciate to be able to detect more ore spots.
- Unread books glow : same, i can detect that skill book half hidden somewhere.
- Smelting increases smithing/Smelting plus/Tanning plus : grind Blacksmith faster :)
- Craftable guns : i got addicted to Muskets, plus they are a good way to make money in early game
- Backpack : carry 150kgs more. less OP than the ring of carrying stuff i abandoned because i was never back home and could finish Skyrim in a sole session :p
- Sofia : an inceredible follower that can be added to official ones (Lydia and Sofia together on your side)
- Lockpick pro : never leave a chest closed :)
I don't think we have very similar lists at all, but I really appreciate your imput as it does help to learn how people order things. You may want to switch the Hearthfire esm with the Dragoborn, as Dragoborn was released later. In my current playthrough, I'm not using any of the patches or heavy overhauls either. The above mod collection is planned for a future playthrough after an uninstall and reinstall of Skyrim where I delete everything and then impliment the above collection slowly and carefully, testing along the way. I'd like to keep the mods as lore-friendly as possible, so muskets aren't going to be used, sorry. I'm also not really into grinding or leveling fast. I realize I'll need to craft items because of the increased difficulty level, but, I'd prefer to keep it to an absolute minimum and make crafting a challeging, balanced affair. I have used the following on your list before, though, those are nice mods.
- Vurt Flora overall (Redux)
- Lush grass
- Climates of Tamriel
- HQ snow texture
- Better dynamic snow
- Left hand rings
- The Hunting game
- Armored circlets
- Shezrie's Breezehome
Two things can happen. Either this blows up in my face. Or we have a nice mod collection for a survivalist build and a solid load order to boot. I just want a stable game. I'll take as playable as it currently is (occasional freezes, bugs, and CTDs), but I'd like to see if it can be better by using the proper tools and by doing my research.
About grinding : i try to avoid OP mods or make-it-too-easy ones, but my problem (as many other players), is my compulsive habbit to restart a new char over and over again. So i use some mods to accelerate rerolling :p
I dunno, I may do the uninstall/reinstall and all the testing right after finishing my current build to save myself from exactly that whole "future versions don't play nicely together" syndrome. Right now, I've sort of picked the graphics mods that were designed with other mods in mind. For example, quietcool is designed for COT, WATER is designed for COT users. EFX is designed for the previous mods in mind. Deadly combat is designed for some of my other mods. Cloaks goes with Frostfall and Winter is coming. Wet and cold plays friendly too. I think that'll help with compatibility. If Mumbles would be so kind as to post his load order, that would help, as I think he is currently doing a similar thing. Speaking of Load orders, what's yours? HAHA, new Skyrim pick up lines...
"hey baby, I'll tell you my lord order, if you tell me yours..."
As a former sufferer of Restarteritis, I can sympathize. Haha, you need to see my "I'm tired of restarteritis" thread. I cured myself. It's been grand. Best playthrough in ages and she shows no signs of quitting. Have done about everything in this build. When I suffered from the illness, I did have mods that helped quite a bit.
Mods are super individual. Half the people I see will probably think my ENB choice is nasty gross. Lol, the other half will wonder why I'm not using Requiem or SkyRe.
Ooooooo, video of the possible ENB, I have some of the mods on the video list already. I like it. Warm and toasty on the inside, clear and crisp on the outside. Nice DOV.

All done by LOOT, except I forgot to run it after absent-mindedly installing that last one the other day when I was looking at Oblivion mods.
