Your Skyrim inventory is like your computer space
Your Skyrim inventory is like your computer space

You end up with just 20 GB of of a full TB and have no ♥♥♥♥ing idea what's taking up so much space becaue you can't find something paticulary heavy.

Yup. Then I go 'oh, I'm near my alchemy table, I've got a few bits and pieces in my pockets, guess I'll store them for next time I want to make potions. WOAH, I can suddenly carry about twice as much stuff!'

Sort by weight in SkyUI. There you go :P

Drop all your items on the ground and see if your weight goes down to zero. Then pick up the items one by one to go through them carefully. Potions, ores, ingots, scrolls etc. when in large quantity are usually the ones that make up for the most subtle decrease in weight space

Ooo, yeah, that sounds like fun....NOT. Sort by weight is much less of a headache. Still a headache, but sigh, it's got to be done sometimes, as going on a diet isn't in the Dovahkiin's busy schedule. ;-)

Didn't you read my full post? Sorting by weight only sorts each type of item. It doesnt give you any indication of the total weight that accumulates for the smaller, lighter items. Just carrying a couple dozen of potions already amounts to over 50 in weight, y'know that?

No...'cause I was blinded by the phrase "pick up the items one by one"... after that, I went into a conniption and had to start my meds back, early, again. The game is already tedious enough without having to find a spot level enough that everything won't roll away into oblivion (hehe) and then I've got to sort through this mammoth monstrosity of a pile of junk to find out what's heavy and what's not.... I don't think so. :-)

Dropping them all into a chest\barrel and sorting through them makes much more sense since it's in an organized menu and all
