I'd suggest going way back to a normal saved game and continuing ... remember that everytime you use the console to change your game especially moving npcs around can create problems!
Like if you want to see a certain character why not just sleep several hours until that person appears!
Not sure if this is the accepted practise but to avoid corrupted save games I make new Full saves before any new area ..then delete my "f5" quicksave so that the quicksave doesn't keep a memory of half of skyrim territory! It also gives you a reasonably good list of saves to go back to when you need it!
Yup, I'm thinking it was a corrupted file due to mod conflicts.
Today while I was playing, a courier came to me with an inheritance letter for Carlotta's death. I don't think she gives any more quests, so I don't see any reason to go back 20+ ingame hours. And yeah, I only used the console commands to try to fix Carlotta and Mila, I've never used it to modify other NPCs.
Good idea. I'll start manually saving more often to avoid further problems. Thanks for the response!
