I'm Running Out Of Ideas.....
for my next Role-Playing character. Sadly, Hobble, my Vagrant / Thief died attempting to gain certain Bound knowledge from Fort Amol.

All suggestions welcome - including the whacky ones.

Play as a werewolf and always wear the ring of hircine. So you will randomly transform against your will. I tryed this once it was realy funny...

try the main quests without leveling any skills(armor maybe). use followers only. you will have to use the moveto player command at times. lots of running around avoiding hits in combat but its kinda funny playing the cowardly leader

I look at the Workshop mods and some are inspiring.

My last char is an Orc Rifleman/ Gunsmith. He wears heavy armor, strikes with 2 handed weapons and range kills with a long gun.
Mods :"desteros unlimited night vision pack" for an Orc should have night eyes and "Craftable Guns" (those are quite OP as easy to craft and sold for a good price, ammo can be crafted by hundreds and quite effective)

I also started a Fox, intending him as a JOT-Mage...who likes pistols (same mod as above, but i have a glitch with game crashing while using the pistol in one hand and flame spell in the other)
As RP he would drop everything as soon as he sees a rabbit :p
Mod : Playable Foxrace Fennec

+1 for cowardly leader. Pacifist alchemist illusionist FT ... well not for the W obviously!

Clearing dungeons of loot while only using Calm/Paralyse and hiding is tough!

Well, so far, I'm starting to get over the death of Hobble (poor Hobble was only level 20) and looking forward to trying something... odd next time thanks to you people. Thank you.

Just a random thought. There was a mod, Realistic Flames HD or something similar, that was causing similar issues in my game. Have you tried disabling any flame mods to see if the problem goes away?

Mystic Archer, Illusion, Alteration, Bow, unarmored. Use magic to teleport away, Whirlwind Sprint FTW mostly, but there plenty of decent magic mods out there. Use you bow as your primary form of attack. It's more about not getting hit them using magic to create a magical shield.
Scared Mage, regular mage but you're scared in the dark. Using this mod should make that a real threat:
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37042/?
Personal Assasin, Sneak, One Handed, Illusion, Alchemy. Stealth based killer but no ranged attacks, stick to your knives. Or in honor of the ingame book, use an axe.
Dwemer Scholar, Heavy Armor, One Handed, Destruction, Alteration, Restoration, Enchant. A scholar is Dwemeri matter. Only wear Dwemer themed armor, use a mace or axe and any Dwemer themed Magic mods you can find. Your elemental attacks will be Shock of course.

I have no mods to modify "flames", but one to modify torches range and duration ("Longer Torches") and "The Lanterns of Skyrim-All in one".

Anyway, it seems that some Mods may make the crash issue. It is a know bug the author is trying to fix. But i could play for hours with no trouble with my Orc using Musket.

I've tried the run around like a mad chicken only using potions and the restoration skill before - leaving everything to Lydia (dead) then Jordis (dead) then Iona (dead) and I got fed up - LOL, but it was a lot of fun I have to admit.

The werewolf Idea doesn't appeal because knowing Bethesda scripting I'll probably turn into a werewolf just as I read an elder scroll or something else critical.

But, Idea's forming around a werewolf chef are starting to manifest... Might cheat and make myself a fork of Horripilation and I'm also going to look more closely at the frying pan mod.

What was my last character called again? Thanks you crazy people :P

Werewolf chef? Me likey!

Anyone for Vampire Fricasee?
hound Jul 2, 2014 @ 10:17am
Be a peasnt untill level 15. Farm, and hunt. No caves and killing. Breakfast, dinner, and lunch are needed!
pedantic_roc Jul 2, 2014 @ 10:35am
I've done that one, Hound. Did hunting, cooking and herblore together and ended up good at hit and run combat but died in a confined space - it was pretty Bleak. I've been looking at cooking and poisoning mods - haven't found a reasonable one yet. I don't want OP. Might just go with the fork of Horripilation when I think of somewhere I might stumble apon it.
So far all I've come up with is a dead chef at the Cave Bear who was trying to escape Helgen just prior to me. Almost an add at start cheat - lol. I'll be more creative after more thought :P

Steam workshop mod: BECOME A BARD, huge song list, give your follower a lute, flute or drum and they'll play along with you. great mod to make money and free bed every night.
