Question before buying
Is there any form of witchcraft, devil worshiping, or evil things that represent the devil?

My parents are not asking, but my dad doesn't like any of that stuff. Thanks anyways.

There is no Christian imagery of any kind in this game. The lore of this game is original, but it pulls from real world religions and cultures, so there are some things that may seem to be "witchcraft, devil worshiping, or evil things that represent the devil" to someone who is sensitive. In general though, modern Protestant Christianity considers all magic to be witchcraft, and this game has magic.

Modern Christianity doesn't consider all magic to be witchcraft. It's only the certain practices of magic that are. I never intended to make you believe that I thought there was religious imagery in this game. I just mean like witch-related practices, and those are linked to evil, and the devil. I don't need that kind of things in my brain.

Yeah. I played it twice at my friend's house, and never really saw much witchcraft. Probably because I played 2 hours total.

Thats why I'm not likely to play those kinds of game too

Well, you and the Foresworen wouldn't get along too well lmao, that and like 70% of the dungeons in this game.
Or I should say 70% of the game you wouldn't like.

I'll drown them in a pit of radioactive kitten juice.

Basically almost all of skyrim's religion pulls from norse mythology so our interpritation of the devil is different from theirs, but yes there are guilds dedicated to magic and witchcraft but nothing too graphic there is ressurection magic but it doesn't last long and there are ghosts in a certian dungeon that will fight you against their own will but my advice is just don't go looking for it.

If you are a devout Christian in the US then there is a very big chance that you are opposed to all forms of magic outside of fiction books. I don't know your specific beliefs, but I know what I usually encounter and what is considered the norm. This game does have some generic imagery that could be considered witchcraft. Necromancy is common and you often perform services for beings analogous to demons. But it is important to note that partaking in any of this is optional as you choose how to behave in this game.
You do fight necromancers, there are spells to raise the dead temporarily as zombies to fight for you, you can become a werewolf/vampire and slaughter entire villages (but it's completely up to you if you want to do that), there are deities known as "Daedra" in the game that are generally considered to be evil that some people worship, etc.

However, it doesn't include any references to real-world religion or anything of actual devil-worship.
