The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
How has Skyrim impacted your life?

It taught me the importance of diet and exercise.

It taught me that when I am not at work or at school, I am playing Skyrim.

On a serious note, I had never modded before, or took part in conversations about games, and Skyrim made me teach myself the Creation Kit enough to make some popular mods (Drail3 on Nexus) and I am now exploring 'in game' modding such as customizing homes and envirnments. This may be viewed as low level programing skills.

There are worse things I could have done with those several hundred hours, lol.
I learned that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, as well as the importance of dental hygiene! I also learned the meaning of life, the universe and everything!
i met some really nice people on the forums , made some actual real good friends ,

it taught me that i can have another life apart from real life
If there's one thing Skyrim can teach people, it's that character development for the players can go however they want it to. It gives them the freedom to be whoever they want without restricting the choices given to them. There is so much to learn in an open world where one can go about as he or she pleases, doing anything and everything. Moderation is also another lesson Skyrim can teach you since you don't have to feel compelled to do everything in one playthrough. Just go with the flow however you want to, and don't feel like you're a set piece of a much larger play. It's a big world, so go out and explore to your heart's content. Be who you want to be and do what you want to do. Nothing will hold you back (save for the Forbidden Legend quest which requires you to be a member of the College of Winterhold to enter Saarthal), so go for it and have fun as you enjoy the province of Skyrim, with or without mods.
It taught me the importance of not attacking a giant while I was low level.

It has also made me forget there are other games that I have yet to play. It's the bomb!! Totally worth every penny. And the headaches involved in getting every mod I want to play with, working in a cohesive stew of awesomeness. :-)
Skyrim has had no tangible effect on my life.
SKYRIM has reminded me of the meaning of patience. For all things come to those who wait usually better and cheaper perhaps even free at times.
It taught me that I don't have nearly as much time as I would like >.>
