Here is a disturbing question

Where do people, in the cities, go to the bathroom?

I have not seen ONE bathroom/toilet area in ANY of the cities, or houses. Even the Romans had working toilets, yet Skyrim seems to be lacking in the sanitary, or what would realistically pass for it at their current "level" department.

Devs were too lazy to put in bathrooms. I'm sure there's a mod for that though

maybe its kept with the water combat, casting magic without equipping it and the other things they took out in skyrim from oblivion.

Tamrielans dont go to the bathroom. They hold it in for 30 some odd years and then explode. It creates quite a mess.

Bearing what others have said in mind, there are mods out there to add to your sanintary emmersion, on workshop and nexus, just have a browse thru ,

@ Buster there's a mod called realistic needs and disease i think its called, have a look at that, think it might help you with the How !

There aren't exactly toilets in Skyrim, but in some buldings (like Fort Greymoor), you can find small rooms with a stool, a bucket lying on its side and a book.

Looks like "The Yellow Book of Riddles" is the book of choice for potty time.

If You look again in the houses they had bowl shaped pans on the floor , that was their toilet .. I'd assumed ... put there by bethesda as part of the era ,maybe

then what about in markarth? i wouldn't doubt that since the dwemer created steam pipes that they would have created fairly modern plumbing
