Mount Anthor
I received a note from someone in Riften, about killing a dragon in Mount Anthor but there is no dragon??? And I have fast travelled there several times and still no dragon. Is this an issue for anyone else?

It can happen if you have just prior killed a dragon at that site ...within a day of getting the note....
If it's a quest from the Jarl of Dawnstar (Skald the Elder) ...there are a variety of bugs with his quests!

Hmm, I've probably already killed it then. Thank you for helping! :')

Have you tried going back to the quest giver? Do you know who the quest giver is ... Often that's the 2nd problem ! apart from following the quest arrow!

The anthor dragon can also often fly over the top and battle trolls on the other side of the pass ! So instead fast travelling ... once there walk / run around through the pass and check the other side as it may trigger it if it hasn't been killed

I'll try that, too! I'm not exactly sure who the guest giver was, but I will just look around Riften. Hopefully I'll figure it out. Thanks!!

The quest giver couldn't be in Riften ! Mt Anthor is close to Azura's Statue near Winterhold ... so normally some one who gave you the quest should be somewhere up North!
Either way good hunting

Stay away for a while and another will respawn there

I fought a dragon near Avanchezel or something last night, and the flying lizard did his usual "crash" into the next mountain over!! Me and my companions fought him for a short while, then he started to do that head-first dive ..... and dove into a mountain about a mile away. I was like, "Oh HELL no!" and I TCL'd over to him, absorbed his soul, then flew back to my companions on the nearby mountain. Weirdest dragon glitch I've seen lately.

Probably too late at this point, but Better Quest Objectives fixes that whole "not knowing who gave what quests" problem. You just open the game's objectives journal and it will say something like "Redeem quest reward from Anuriel" or whoever. It's a godsend.

I've had that problem in many games. Another forum post suggested waiting for the dragon to respawn (BORING). I checked Anthor several times over the next month of real time and finally found the dragon .. got killed by him, restarted and went back and killed him ... I didn't get any credit for the quest.

I went off to do other quests and after another month tried looking for the dragon again .. this time I got credit for the kill and completed the quest. Turned in, went to the tavern and got another quest to "kill the dragon at mount anthor". Sheesh!!!

I'm still looking for the respawn.

You could always just wait the month in the in-game rest menu. Have to mod it of course, but it's a quick and easy way to pass 1 month away in just a few seconds.

It's usually the Jarl of the hold concerned who has placed a bounty on the dragon. The quest can be given to you by an innkeeper, if you ask if there are any rumours or work available.

The Worst Jarl is Skald the elder ....as the most bugged ! According to the UESP wiki at least

That's cuz he's too worried about supporting the stormcloaks.

I just killed a dragon at Mt Anthor without any problems. Perhaps you have a mod conflict?

I got the quest after killing the original and still managed to get the credit after I killed the respawned one, killed him first time though.

You've got to wait x number of days, 30 I think, for the respawn, return before that time and the timer resets to zero.

30 days is the timer for all Skyrim after that time everything in Skyrim will be reset .... even stuff you left lying around. It's handy if you have a corrrupted Save game.
To go to a small room ..sleep for 30 days; make a new hard save and set out into Skyrim to reconquer the whole country!
