Low Framerate
I just bought Skyrim today, and I really want to fix the awful framerate I'm getting. I get half-decent fps whenever I start the game, but then it gets choppier and slower and it's very frustrating. I went into SkyrimPrefs already and disabled shadows. I have options on low, and I tried running it in windowed mode. I don't want to download anything outside of Steam, though... Please help!

All I know is how to find the graphics card info...
I have a Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.
Where do I go to find CPU and RAM?
start menu->control panel->system
Computer specs provided::TryAgain:
Expects useful information::correctamundo:
Refuses to provide specs, because he's a tech wiz and knows that if one game works, every other game in the world HAS TO work as well::correctamundo:

I'm not a tech wiz. I won't expect any good info until I give you guys the specs. I will give specs. Please don't be rude.

Okay, so I have a Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU and I have 3 Gigs of RAM
you better get ENBoost or one of the many performance mods from http://skyrim.nexusmods.com

registering is free
Like I mentioned, I'm not too comfortable on downloading any mods outside of the Workshop... Is there any other way? :/
Damn... What are the recommended specs for running the game? I might be getting a new computer soon, so I might as well look for one that can run the game.
check the store page or use google
Okay, so I'll be looking for 4GB of RAM, with 6GB Hard Drive Space, and a Quad-Core Intel/AMD CPU. Thanks anyways!
Yup. Saw those already. Thanks anyways, everyone!
3 gigs of RAM? you are over due for upgrades my friend also Skyrim Nexus is very trustworthy and useful if you DO get upgrades I recommend checking it out and as in trustworthy I mean don't download nothing thats over fetched... That being said Skyrim doesn't ask for much as in specs unless you modify to hell also disable Samples they can improve fps
