preparing to grind crafting, what to buy from vendors?
To prepare for mass production grinding to improve smithing and enchanting, I am hoarding iron ingots and petty soul gems to make and then enchant iron daggers (have plenty of leather from hunting), so I am buying as many of them as I can. Is there anything else I should be grabbing from vendors during the usual post dungeon junk sale.

I am playing a stealth archer (first toon).

I pretty much made it this way, too.
(I usually hunted with a soul trap bow)

Uh, use a trainer for smithing and pickpocket the gold back? Don't really remember how i did it, probably hoarded gold and stalked the guy&gal over at whiterun for their ores/bars.

Just craft iron daggers and enchant them for both smithing and enchanting. That's pretty much all there is to it.

I'd use trainers for stuff more annoying to train, though.

The best way ive found to improve smithing, depending on what level you are, is go to raid a dwemer ruin and collect all of the scrap metal and stuff that you can turn into dwarven ingots (check a list first, some stuff that you should be able to melt down you cant) and then to just mass produce dwarven arrows, which you can then sell for money or use for ammo

You get more experience the more valuable the item you craft.

The best way I've found to grind smithing, and using this method, including alteration, speech, and enchanting, is to first and foremost have the "Transmute" spell, which you can get the tome of really early, like even before killing your first dragon even, at Halted Stream Camp, and buy/hoard iron ore (not ingots) and transmute them all to gold ore to smelt to gold ingots for gold jewelry. Enchant these before selling.

You can buy two iron ores and a filled petty soul gem and smith a gold necklace, for example, and enchant it before selling for a profit. Of course, adding gems would make the sell value higher and the smith XP higher as well. Buying more expensive filled soul gems would give you stronger enchantments which would also make the sell value higher.
