The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Skyrim vs ESO
I'm interested on fans of Skyrims take on ESO. I personally prefer Skyrim so far. But I have only played a few hours of ESO before getting stuck on some due to development issues with the game. Anyway for those of you who have played innumerable hours of ESO I would like to hear your thoughts and comparisons to the games. Thank you, Hope to hear your answers soon.

You mean how successful Skyrim was and how ESO died in beta? I haven't played innumerable hours of ESO, because I couldn't. It's not even a real Elder Scrolls game. The sound track is good though.
I beta'd ESO briefly, and that was all the time I needed to be able to tell you with full education that it is absolutely not worth playing unit they have it go F2P because it is not worth your money.

I don't think any MMO is actually worth the box price + $15 a month.

True
I very much agree with the statements you guys are giving. I was utterly dissapointed when I purchased and played ESO. I was expecting a lot more from them. So I still play Skyrim to the utmost.
Skyrim and Guild Wars 2 if my preference.
Actually i only play Skyrim.

I dont play ESO because is a theme park game. I am bored of: TSW, SWTOR, or any other theme park.

My first on line game (and my favourite) was Star Wars Galaxies long time ago. Although Skyrim is an off line game, i can find in Skyrim like a own life or freedom and variety of activities.

The wrong about ESO (according my point of view), is than is not a Sandbox game. I am wairing to ArcheAge or EverQuest Next, or H1Z1 or The Repoplulation, or Star Citizen, i mean, i like Sandbox games, and i find the theme parks (including ESO), lineals, focused in the progresion and with bit variety and freedom.

I have tested ESO, and is very good theme park (better of a lot of others), but the theme parks are not for me.

I was actually lucky enough to be able buy a lifetime membership to an MMO once with a high one time fee. Haven't regret it, it's the best MMO I know, especially for me. Community is amazing, the interests match. I get in-game money monthly for practically nothing these days, and the perks.

As for online and offline games, there's one difference: While the offline games rely heavily on content, the online games rely heavily on the players as a team and human socializing, and perhaps also the content.

Modding or creating is perfectly possible online, too, but it also needs proper tools for reporting bad player made content, as well as vigilance from the players to actually use those tools. That responsibility also partially falls on the players.

WoW. Other than that game, I agree.

Edit: After 10 years of perfect success the games going downhill so I can understand if someone were to disagree with me, and I'd probably agree, but man was it worth it a few years ago.

Eso is horrid compared to Skyrim.
I just didn't like ESO but I loved all the other ES games. In Skyrim when you go to kill something in a cave you don't get your immersion broken by a bunch of other players standing around framing the creature you need to kill, or see 30 people talking to someone you are trying to talk to either. I tried to get into SWTOR and couldn't for the very same reason. For me Single player and real Co-op (not the phased crap in ESO) will always win over any MMO, and PvP. I found ESO to be very, very boring as a game too.

idk I played WoW for a 2-week trial and didn't feel it was worth the price. And today, with good F2P MMOs being everywhere, it's hard to imagine that anyone would pay a box+monthly fee.

That's because it was a trial. :P Sorta gotta play the game from release and do endgame stuff. I agree with you though about the second line.

You're probably right. This was back when WoW was fresh, and the concept of end-game content was foreign to people outside of the MMO community.
