Hadvar or Ralof
Imperial and Stormcloak alliances aside, which guy do you like better? Especially after the battles, when you know them better?

Both seem to be slightly jealous of Dragonborn anyway.

I prefer Ralof as a character since he seems to feel far more strongly about matters, making him a bit more interesting, and he seems more motivated and engaged, in part due to his voice actor being a bit better imo.

But... I usually go with Hadvar since that leads to immediately befriending his uncle which leads to being able to take the local blacksmith's ingots and a few pieces of heavy gear without them being stolen. Ralof's relatives on the other hand don't really have anything in particular to offer an adventurer.

Hod can offer lumber for HF buildings. But you still have to pay for it.

Ralof's obnoxious and slightly anti-elf intro dialogue < Hadvar's consolation to send your body back home.

Eh, Ralof seems a bit blood thirsty to me.
"Who do you think has killed more Imperials, you or me?"
While Hadvar is a bit more relatable
"Wait, Stormcloaks. Let's see if we can reason with them."

Off-Topic: I bet a lvl 100 speach skill could get a fort full of Bandits or Something-mancers into highly respectable voulunteer Hold Guards and an end to the Civil war.

Not exactly - I've been there. Level 100 speech doesn't exactly auto-hypnotize everyone, but it does increase your chances and give you shortcuts to finish quests.

But you CAN become a High King or Queen instead, with a mod.
