how to I set to 60hz?
The game runa 120hz on my monitor And I want the game to be vsynced at 60hz, I do not want an FPS LIMIT becuase that causes TONS of stutter, I Simply want someway to set the refresh rate to 60 and have an fps limit of 60, meaning it runs normally

Someone told u already that Refresh rate is not FPS rate i hope? Little Tip, if u Grafic Card is not from stoneage u can set Vsync there.

You need to learn a few things about grammar boy. My bad-boy gtx 780 is definitly not from the stone age, and from the Nvidia control panel, the only thing I can change the refresh rate to is "Highest availible" Which doesn't help me much becuase it is already running the highest. What a Stupid option to have Nvidia, why not have a number adjustment? I can't even use the Nvidia inspector to set a refreshrate.

"Someone told u already that Refresh rate is not FPS rate i hope? " I do not understand what you are trying to say, You can clearly tell from my post that I do not want to use an FPS limit, And want to have a custom refresh rate instead, So obviously I understand the difference.

I lost faith in humanity.

Yes that buggy software that "optimizes" games by forcing them to stupid settings? It made arma 3 run at 15fps becuase it set the draw distance to nearly 8000 (default is 2500). And you cannot change the values individually, you must have nvidia spoon-feed you the entire thing making it a waste of time and unfortunate it comes with my drivers. Even shadow play doesn't work, it used to record audio, now it doesn't at all from one of the updates.

Adaptive have refresh rate gets my game to 72hz/fps And it still gets screen tearing since it is adaptive vsync and does not work as well as full vsync. that is because sometimes the fps does not run at perfectly 72.0 fps it might be 72.10 or 71.99 and when it does that it gets the tearing.

I am just gonna save my money for that gsync kit since I have the right monitor and gtx 780

Download Nvidia Inspector, press the button next to "Driver Version", scroll down to "Common" then set the "Frame Rate Limiter", click apply changes at the top right

I have never used a 120hz monitor, are stutters normal when you limit the fps to 60 or something? It seems like it would be ideal to set the frame rate to 60 and just leave v-sync off if no screen tearing is present.

well I actually use a 144hz monitor But I just call it 120hz beccause its simpler to say, but its amazing to use, I would never ever go back. but If you want a nice monitor get the upcoming pg278q monitor, it is 1440p, 144hz, and gsync. So you will not have stutters anymore which is good. Vsync is crap and so is stuttering and input lag

I wish I could buy that, but I'm just a poor student atm. I was just curious about what was causing the stuttering.

Lol I am under 18 and work online jobs, and my ebay job selling and fixing stuff. You do not need to make money based on the book like everyone forces you to :)
