You really need at least a 2GB card. I have a GTX 580 1280MB card and even performance ENBs knock me into the 35-40FPS range.
Other ENB's will have the best hardware to date begging for mercy.
Look up some ENB's and see what the creator is telling about performance hit, needed mods and INI tweaks.
Then make a decission on what you want from the game and the ENB. A smooth running game with a heavy ENB is an utopia. So if you prefer smooth gaming go for a lighter ENB and if you like amazing visuals for fantastic screenshots, pick a high ENB that suits your style.
