Lakeside Manor and my weapon disappeared
Hi-I tried downloading a few mods from the Steam's workhouse and Lakeside Manor and my equipped weapon disappeared. I unchecked the mods and restarted the comp, but they're still gone. Everything I've accumulated was stored in that house, and is a big loss. Is there anything I can do, other than walking away from the house or starting a new game? I am new to modding and my knowledge of computers is very sketchy. Thanks

Reload a save from before using that mod.

There won't be any computers left, the way you are going.

Yep, like Grathagis said, reinstall all the mods you had before and load a previous save.

I've reloaded a save from before and still no house. So strange.

Make sure you reinstalled the mods you removed before.

Make sure Hearthfire is ticked on in the Data Files of the Skyrim launcher.

PLEASE HELP lol. I have all the skyrim legendary expansions checked, inc. hearthfire. I wound up reinstalling skyrim and starting the game entirely over. I did all the Jarl of Falkreath's quests, he promised to make me Thane, handed in the last quest, and there is no option to buy property. I talked to him and his housecarl with no offer. I gave up and tried the quests in Morthal. The same thing happened. I did all the quests, but when I turned in the last one i am still at 2/3 help the people of Morthal. I was 2/3 before i turned it in, and 2/3 afterwards. Jarl doesn't offer a plot, nor does her housecarl. Why the glitchiness? If hearthfire wasn't installed, houses wouldn't be mentioned, right? Is there a way to fix this? Also, the orphans that are usually about town are missing. Thanks

Go do a quest for any NPC in the city. When that's finished go back to the Jarl and choose the I've helped your people option.

This indicates Hearthfire isnt activated. Double check if its active.

it's checked-is there another way to be sure?
felixollie Aug 17 @ 11:13pm
SNIERP, i haven't yet tried dawnstar.

Dont think it will work... If the kids are missing it seems all of Hearthfire is.
When you say its checked, do you mean you simply dowloaded it or did you actually check the data files?
I was thinking you acidentally unticked it or something when messing with mods.

It is ticked. :) I am reinstalling Skyrim legends again right now. Maybe it didn't download correctly last time=I'll try anything twice lol
