WTF is with these Vampires?

I just started a new game, I am ONLY LEVEL SEVEN (as in 7) and I have only killed the first dragon at the Watchtower. When I go back to Whiterun there are like FIVE MASTER VAMPIRES who are just merking the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ town. I mean they kill everyone who can die in just a minute, which breaks several quest. These vampires are so OVERLY POWERFUL that they can kill me in a few hits, but I have to hit them like 1,000 times to knock a dent in their health at all...

Did I mention that I am only level 7 and this is a new game with no Vampire mods of any kind? What gives?

Did you even try and use resurrec on the corpses ? and when you do I found speically ones you know have quests your yet to get I make them essential with going up near them - tild - help name , then setessential npc code space the 1 always use the 1 then enter

Difficulty does not affect on enemies in any way. Only player character is affected by those changes.

5 master vampires? You would not see that many even in level 70. Either you have some very badly planned mod in your load order, completely busted load order with extreme effects or something is wrong with your master files.

If it is about a mod, then it might not be a vampire mod directly. Do you have any general enemy mods?

eh 2-3 how can you tell what difficulty theyre playing on ? , and @ drall, you mention you dont have vamp mods but you do have mods all the same , i guess, before adding anymore maybe try turning one off at a time, ?

Yeah... lets pretend that I didn't start this thread to talk about Difficulty...

I cannot enter Whiterun at all, and this is a brand new game. When I enter, there is just a war going on. The whole town is at the front gate, and there are Master Vampires EVERYWHERE. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in its truest form, in a few seconds half the town is dead, and a few second later I am dead. I can kill a dragon, but I cant even touch these damn Vampires, they are so strong they just kill everyone, and with ME and the TOWN attacking them, they just don't die. Now when I load my save and enter, they have a bunch of Death Hounds too... WTF?

Im playing on adept and only ever had 2 or 3 at any one time ,
and which save do you load, you ight going back a little further and loading a save, in case the very previous ones, been saved with a bug attached ?

If it makes you feel any better I had it happen to me somewhere around the same level. I went back into Whiterun after dark and I don't think they were all Master Vampires but I know at least one of them was and there was 5 or 6 enemies total upon entering the city. My game only had an ore texture mod and the bank of skyrim mod at the time. After a couple of times dying to them I just went and picked up the "when vampires attack" mod and problem solved.

I finally managed to survive the ordeal... It took me, all of the guards, the towns people, the two Alik'r, and all three of the traveling Khajiit, to kill all of the Vampires and Death Hounds... I am now level 8.

It was the middle of the day, also. Is that normal?

And Menacing, I have "when vampires attack, and run for your lives" and it didn't stop it?

I don't think I've ever seen more than 1 master rank vampire attacking during a vampire town attack encounter. sure I've seen 1 plus lower ranked minions, but never more than 1 actual master ranked....

Hmm. based on what I read about the mod when I installed it, the only thing I can figure is that the game thinks that you had gone to the trigger point and started the quests thereby causing the mod to not take effect. At any rate I'm glad you were able to survive it all.

They sure got it in for you LOL!!
'No vampire attack' mod I use, this only last until starting dawnguard in earnest.
Had no attacks now level 25 in new game.

It is often 1 master wampire and some tralls, and some dogs. The guards should get them killed fast. Dont try to kill them it ends up you getting killed or you go to jail for hurting some guard or some other. Those who gets killed is not essential for the main quests.
