Error code 80
whenever i try to launch skyrim on my windows 8 it says error code 80. I rebooted my computer and it didnt work

Just go to start, type in MSCONFIG, open tag startup and active steam
PS then restart computer

it doesnt show steam

That seams unlikely since you should have a directory with steam in the first place:
c\programfiles\steam

Its call 'steam client bootstrapper' you need it for windows to activate steam.(the fix)
Just restart computer as well, both work.(this works but may happen again just a window/steam issue)
As above but when tick box/apply/OK/restart computer. Also pinned in front page of Hints and Tips.
