Skyrim crash to desktop problem
http://imgur.com/EtjUE1P

that pic more or less explains everything.
the problem seems to be pretty common among the mod addicteds according to the internet, the game simply crashes to desktop while loading save games and it does nothing if I try a new campaign.
I now uninstalled every single mod (from both workshop and nexus with NMM), reinstalled the game and tried a lot of the solutions on the internet. nothing worked, can someone help me?

thanks

You should be aware that some mods need scripts to function and these scripts will still be in that save file even if you uninstall/deactivate the mod.

Now that's out of the way, have you tried using LOOT?

Have a look into my Guide here on Skyrim Workshop, I'm sure you'll find some helpful hints to get rid of your problem

I already reinstalled the game after I unsuccessfully tried to mod it. I didn't tried it again, but the game still crashes to desktop a few seconds after it load.

But did you also delete the appcache, as I suggested in my instructions? Did you try them out?

ye I just finished resting the pc, right now I'm trying loot.

FIXED!

LOOT is the way people!

you can dowload it here: https://loot.github.io/
and as IIja (Ref) said, use it everytime you download a new mode or update one.

I'll go install my mods back, so that I can destroy my game again.

no seriously, thanks guys!

Hey sassolino, does Loot also work for un-modded games?
SaSSolino Aug 10, 2014 @ 7:22am
yes it does, at my first try I had no mods

LOOT does nothing for unmodded games. It is a "Load Order Optimization Tool."

If your game is crashing without mods, then my instructions about how to verify the game cache properly are likely to help. They can be found behind that link I gave in #1.

I've already done the cache thing. Now I'm reinstalling the game.

If you followed my advices (removed appcache and configuration files) then there should not be any reason for that.

However, if this about some leftover file in your game folder, then I suggest that you completely delete your Skyrim folder, configuration files and appcache - and reboot your computer -, before re-installing the game.

If this becomes as a problem, then please create a new thread for it.
