Did you overwrite a SMIM file with something else?
Vitals 9 aug, 2014 @ 15:02
Installed it from nexus just like all my mods. Did a custom install through the manager. Installed the update file too. Both ESP's are enabled.

Mod Organizer says nothing's overwriting it.

Where did you install it from? If through Steam, did you install all 6 parts?

Don't think we don't remember you installing the ``Deustch'' version of a mod and wondering why it was in German, alright?
That mod was only available in German. :P

It is Riverwood. I've been using SMIM since the mod was released and this is the only time I've seen the rope not 3d.

Look at all the buildings in Riverwood and tell me which of them SMIM affected, it's not just the store for me.

The latest. I think v 1.4 uploaded 2 days ago.

I installed SMIM again and disabled every single texture mod, even the ones SMIM was overwriting, and now interiors have 3D ropes, but none outside except 1 post behind the shop and one in front of the inn, which bugs me even more.

Might just see if I can use the steam version instead although I hate the workshop

I just like to stay away from it. Mod authors care more about there mods on the nexus than the workshop and don't update them. SMIM for example, It's not that outdated, but doesn't have the latest version yet on the workshop.

The workshop is ok if you're using 1-15 mods. A more personal reason I dislike it, other than the fact that It's inferior to Skyrim Nexus is I found it convinces new modders that the skyrim nexus is unsafe/not trustworthy and that the workshop is the only source for legit mods, then they wonder why they subscribe to every mod on the workshop, run there game and crash then say they're scared to install mods from the Nexus, or make a post on this forum asking for a refund for their game. I see this daily on here.

Anyways turns out there are a few other things that SMIM for some reason didn't cover in my game so I went into the SMIM folder and pulled out those files (which were installed just not in game) and installed them as a separate mod. All is good now.
