How much is the legendary edition on winter sale and is it worth it?
Hello everyone. I have been saving for some time and has decided to buy Batman Arkham City GOTY [A must for me] and another game. My budget is 20 - 30$ and I am currently waiting for the winter sales. Skyrim has been around for sometime and I have never really paid any attention to it until now. My cousins showed me how good the game is and how much hardwork the devs put into it so I want it also. Question is how much does this game cost at winter sale and is the legendary edition worth getting? thanks in advanced

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Legendary Edition has been as low as $13.59 on Steam during a sale. It is very likely to be that same price (or lower) during the Winter Sale.

For the relative pricing, I would definitely recommend getting the Legendary edition. There is so much content in the base game, but you may be left wanting the DLCs, Dawnguard and Dragonborn mainly, which don't get discounted as much.

You can buy it for cheaper than the winter sale price right now if you buy CSGO/TF2 keys from the community market and trade for a gift using the trading forum or a trading group.

Regular skyrim is 2-3 keys ($4.9-$7.35)
Legendary Edition is 4-5 keys ($9.8-$12.25)

Source: I bought Skyrim Legendary for £5.75 (4 keys) and the cheapest it's ever been on sale in the UK is £7.

What month does Steam consider as winter? We don't all live in the USA and yes I know it's the opposite to 'down under' but is there a specific month or do they mean for Xmas (December).

Please note, these kinds of transactions are not supported by Valve. There is also nothing preventing people from doing a chargeback leaving you with no game or keys.

Restoration of the traded item is one time only, by Valve's policies.

The winter sale usually starts near the middle/end of December. Last year it was a winter/summer sale as it is summer in the southern hemisphere. They had a different image at the bottom for summer and it flipped to the top if you live in Australia or such.

Yeah that's why I decided to buy steam wallet codes on retail shops instead of doing trade-ins with unkown people

I mentioned it more as a general warning to anyone reading the other post and thinking about doing it.

Wasn't directed at anyone. :-)

Yeah I know I know. The risk involve in doing it is just insane lol. I know a guy who did stupid things on Steam and to people... I'd rather not talk about it

There is a small risk but it is not 'insane', I have bought >80 of my 155 games using trading. If they chargeback on the gift then their account is suspended and Valve give you your traded items back (the first time), this first time has never happened for me.

Either way you are covered the first time it happens.

Bioshock and Skyrim are completely different. Skyrim is basically an open world sandbox, and that is how it shines. If you buy it wanting a story driven experience, you may or may not be disappointed. Personally, I hate the main story line, but I still have hundreds of hours into the game and haven't gotten bored yet. But I should add that I use some mods that make exploration far more interesting.

Batman Arkham City is amazing, and a must have for any Batman fan, so good choice on that. Idk if they will do it again, but I got both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, plus some other games, for around $5 during the Warner Bros. Humble Bundle. If you aren't on Humble Bundles mailing list, I recommend you sign up.

For 30$ I could end up getting Skyrim legendary, Batman GOTY, Bioshock infinite season pass, and fall out 3 or las vegas. ORRRRR I could end up with Batman GOTY, Bioshock 1 and 2 with infinite season pass and Fallout 3 and Vegas but no Skyrim wtdgjdnhslgn;gsgkln
