the ebony warior
have you defeated him? and if so, what strategy did you use?

my strategy:
1st I pickpocketed anything I could of him (like his potions), second I used the dragon aspect shout from the dragonborn DLC and summoned a dremora with the sanguine rose, then I used the marked for death shout on him and ran so he would attack my dremora, lastly I kept shooting arrows at him while he was distracted by my dremora and used marked for death as soon as it was available again.

Sneak shotted him with daedric bow and a poisoned daedric arrow.

marked for death ---> GG.
well, having a sword equipped, that was crafted while being under the effect of a fortify blacksmithing potion that has being crafted with fortify alchemy gear which has been enchanted with fortify enchanting potions (and so on) helps too.

No it is not. That is one part of the game.
If that is cheating so is use of portions and so on cheating.

You can't cheat in a single player game. It is called "using our resources."

However, I don't use those crafting cycle glitches (or rather oversights) my self. It isn't cheating, but it is a bit cheesy. ;)

Ilja i should not call it glitches. Since it is one part of refining your craft and the game gives you all tools for it.
Sadly i cant load my save when i did kill the Ebony warrior since i lost that save in one mayor HD falure :(

i wasn't speaking of the fortify-potion loop, btw, since most people use the unofficial skyrim patches and crafted potions had been capped with it to prevent that exploit.

your gear can still get pretty powerful with the cap in effect.

Yepp... using the word "cheating" is kind of strange when it comes to a moddable singleplayer sandbox game like this.

There might even be players who use the "kill" console command.
Uncle64[Swe] Aug 4, 2014 @ 8:21am
You dont need mods for it, it is one part of the game, and the glitches are fixed if you use latest patches.

I have to agree that it's not cheating, and I'm a notorious anti-cheater. The reason that it's not cheating is because there are diminishing returns in effect that limit how much you can do this. You can only do the enchant/potion cycle three times before you hit a brick wall.

Like a real man: sword and board.

as i've said earlier, only with the mod "unofficial skyrim patch", which not everybody's using.

No it was added in the last skyrim patch.
