Changing spell ranges.
Is it possible (either by a mod or .ini tweek) to increase the range on spells like spark and flames (and their higher tier counterparts), because if your playing a pure mage then you'd expect him to master ranged attacks a bit.

i think there is a mod where you can do that or something similar i wish i could tell you the name but the name itself escapes me at the moment :\

Edit your Skyrim.ini in your local "My Games" directory. Shouldn't cause any problems.

That line wasn't in either skyrim.ini or skyrimpref.ini. Even tried adding it in and changing file to read only. Didn't work

Your novice spells have limited range because they are ... novice spells. As in beginner spells for those who still need training wheels. Rune spells have limited range, but you can increase them with perks, which is pretty decent for a trap type spell. The other ranged destruction spells have unlimited range. Meaning the range is unlimited. Don't know how you can improve on unlimited.

That one is for achery. And long range spells. Not for the close range spells.

Unfortunately, beyond perks, there's no significant level scaling for Spells in Skyrim; you're expected to just shell out money for the next Spell Tome with a higher damage number. Without a mod to implement level scaling, you're stuck with useless Novice Spells by lategame.

If there's a perk entry for it, you could create a mod that scales Novice Spell ranges with your Destruction level, but in vanilla gameplay they have a static maximum range.
