Game crashing after workshop mod subscription
I decided to try a workshop mod today. After subscribing and synching the game crashed at the Bethesda screen, forcing my computer to reboot. Unsubscribed from the mod with the same results at next launch attempt. Uninstalled and reinstalled Skyrim but still having the same issue. Also, each time I validate the local game cache it returns "1 file failed to validate and will be re-acquired" but the problem persists.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as I love this game.

Thank you

Wich mod was it? Did you try disabling all your mods? Don't just reinstall skyrim, but delete the whole data folder, since there can be leftover files from other mods

For conflicting mod issues and load order use LOOT:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzoyWugzZAw
or just disable all 3rd party mods, check load order from the DATA section of the splash screen: dawnguard, hearthfires, dragonborn, HR textures 1, 2, 3 and re-enable 3rd party mods and test one at a time with a new charater or an old save prior to installation of mod(s). ( Your saves may not work because of the mods no longer being active.)

Thank you for the replies, I will try deleting the entire data folder (had already removed the mod).
