Cannot update past 1.5.23.0.8
My current version (checking in-game) is 1.5.23.0.8. I can't seem to get it to update past that, and I'd really like to be able to install the Legendary Patch.

I've tried verifying my files in Steam;

I can't seem to opt into any beta programs (the option simply isn't listed);

I think I've even uninstalled/re-download Skyrim as a whole through Steam...

...all to no avail.

I purchased the game (Special Edition) in early 2017, if that info is of any use.

Any ideas on this? I know this issue is probably beaten to death, but I'd appreciate the help! :)

You have the Skyrim Special Edition - the unofficial patch that you need to use is Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch by Unofficial Patch Project Team - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266/?

Legendary patch (USLEEP) is for original Skyrim.

Hi,

Another related question:

I'd like to use "SkyUI," and I understand that I need to install the script extender to use this mod. However, the SkyUI page says I need SKSE version 1.7.3 or newer, but for Skyrim Special Edition the SKSE version that's offered is 1.5.23.

I'm slightly confused about this, and I must be misunderstanding something here. Thanks for the help! :)

Are you looking in the right place - SSE mods are to found at https://rd.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition
SkyUI - https://rd.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12604
For this, you will need SKSE64 - http://skse.silverlock.org/

Also, questions regarding Skyrim Special Edition should be asked on that forum, as you'll get more responses (some may be a little sharp, just ignore those) as well as finding appropriate related topics in a search of the forum discussions; I also view posts there, as well:

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I'm such a noob! ...I'll post in the correct forum, LOL.

Thanks again for all your help!

And, like I said, some replies there may be pretty salty or trollish - just ignore them.
