I tried uninstalling and reinstalling any new mods I had added since the change occured but nothing has changed. I read that some people managed to resolve it by restarting Skyrim but Skyrim is a long as game and I have made some serious progress this play through so that is a last option for me.
Ill keep looking it up and trying to find a fix cause i wanna fix it as well
I heard that you may need to change your load order. I tried it and it didn't work but basically Bijins character models should be at the very bottom of your load order (or as low as you can put it). This way if there any other mods that are causing conflicts with it, Bijins should be the mod that loads rather than whichever mod is causing the conflicts.
For me, I could not put Bijins at the bottom as Requeim requires to be at the very bottom. I put it as low as it would go but to no avail. It may work for you however.
ah good to know ill give it a try
Found an alternative solution:
Tell the NPC to leave your service if they're following.
Find the NPC's base ID*. Not their RefID, the base ID. Do a search on the NPC's name on the wiki and it should pull up the relevant page. Lydia's base ID is 000A2C8E and her RefID is 000A2C94.
Load the script cleaner and select your saved game. I wouldn't use an auto or quicksave, but a hard save.
In the lower right, look for the box that says "Ref ID" underneath "Forms"
Enter the NPC's ID and press <enter>.
After the ID loads, press Delete.
Save and make a backup (should be automatic).
Load up your save, and voilà! No more dark face.
What Script Cleaner did you use?
