But if you kill Paarthurnax the greybeards won't tell you where the word walls are anymore.
Now for me, finding the word walls is harder than finding dragon souls. So I personally tell the blades that I will not be killing Paarthurnax, and goodbye.
Side note, I am not a servant for the blades, and they never bothered asking if I wanted to help them, so stuff the ungrateful little bleeders.
Or, get one of the mods that allows the Blades quest to continue without killing him.
It is supposed to be a moral dilemma. Paarthurnax only has a 'word' focus that you can get from him, otherwise he does nothing the rest of the game.
I know where they all are, so I forget newer players might find this useful. ;)
I save Paarthurnax for personal ethic/moral reasons, he is a nice guy (ok, he's a nice dragon).
Nope, bad idea. NPC's that die are DEAD, even if they're brought back via console. There's a script run at the moment an NPC dies, so from then on, the game considers them dead.
I would leave Paarthurnax alive, for two reasons. The first is that he didn't have to give you knowledge of what Shout to use against Alduin, but he does it anyway, and in the process, he proves that most dragons are redeemable to a certain extent. The second reason is that I really dislike the fact that Delphine wants Paathurnax dead just because he's a dragon, especially since the Dragonborn is, technically speaking, another dragon.
i dont understand i mean i get what your saying that its mean how even thoghe delphine herself said "im the last of a group blades we serve the dragonborn and lead him on the right bath" end quote
*sigh* this is why i love this game
