College of winterhold.... glitch?

I did the quest like normal (found eye of magnus, killed jyrik, talked to the arch mage) but then nothing. After i talked to the arch mage, he said he would check on the eye, but nothing progressed. To make matters worse, when i went back to sarthaal jyrik was alive without his helmet and was covered in fire, whilst being clipped in the ground. I found that he could not be killed simply put, as he would drop to his knee after having been "killed" and rise up and continue to fight again. I can't get any further, and any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time. :)

EDIT: I mean the quest where you accompan Tolfdir (I forgot the name :/)

Try the resurrect or kill commands on Jyrik?
